Job Overview: The Risk Management Officer will play a crucial role in supporting the South-East Asia Region (SEAR) of WHO by implementing policies and procedures for effective risk management, compliance, and contingency planning. The incumbent will work closely with various organizational entities, including headquarters and regional management offices, to identify and mitigate risks that could impact the organization's objectives. Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the implementation of SEAR policies and procedures for risk management and compliance.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess an advanced university degree in Social Sciences, Public Administration, Finance, Law, Economics, or a related field. Additionally, training in risk management and program evaluation is desirable. The role requires a strong understanding of risk management principles and practices, as well as the ability to navigate complex organizational structures and processes.
Educational Background: An advanced university degree is essential for this position, with a focus on fields relevant to risk management and organizational compliance. Candidates with additional training in risk management and program evaluation will have an advantage in the selection process.
Experience: The ideal candidate should have at least seven years of relevant experience at both national and international levels within complex organizations. This experience should encompass general management, internal control frameworks, and monitoring processes. Desirable experience includes designing and implementing risk management and compliance frameworks, as well as familiarity with WHO or UN systems, particularly with Oracle software.
Languages: Expert knowledge of English is essential for this position. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset, enhancing communication within the diverse environment of WHO.
Additional Notes: This position is classified under the Professional category of WHO staff and offers a competitive salary starting at USD 77,326, along with a variable post adjustment reflecting the cost of living in New Delhi.
