Job Overview: The Finance and Procurement Coordinator position is situated within the Resources and Services Unit (RES) of the ISSA. The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating finance, procurement, and investment-related activities within the organization. This role also includes maintaining the ISSA's quality management system and internal controls. Reporting directly to the Head of RES, the incumbent will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with established rules and regulations, contributing to internal audits, and managing financial procedures. The position requires a proactive approach to monitoring financial data, ensuring accuracy, and providing administrative support for procurement processes. The incumbent will also be involved in preparing financial reports and participating in the closing processes at the end of the fiscal year.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Finance and Procurement Coordinator include monitoring and updating internal control and management systems, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards, and participating in annual reviews and re-certification processes. The incumbent will manage RGPD documentation and ensure adherence to Swiss, European, and international regulations on data protection. Responsibilities also include maintaining the ISSA ERP system to meet financial and accounting requirements, drafting financial procedures, and analyzing financial documents to correct anomalies. The coordinator will provide administrative support to bidding processes, evaluate vendors, and monitor extra-budgetary agreements. Additionally, the role involves tracking investment activities, preparing financial reports, and providing training to ISSA staff on financial standards and best practices.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess an advanced university degree (Master's) in business administration, financial management, accounting, or related fields. Alternatively, a first-level university degree (Bachelor's) in one of these fields, combined with an additional two years of relevant experience, will be accepted. A Chartered or Certified Accounting/Auditing Qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIA, Swiss Certified Public Accountant) is highly desirable. The position requires in-depth knowledge of Swiss regulations, financial administration, and accounting, as well as familiarity with internal control systems and ISO certification processes.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes an advanced university degree (Master's) in business administration, financial management, accounting, or related fields. A first-level university degree (Bachelor's) in one of these fields, along with two additional years of relevant experience, is acceptable in lieu of a Master's degree. A professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or CIA is highly desirable and will enhance the candidate's profile.
Experience: A minimum of five years of directly relevant experience in finance, auditing, and accounting is required, with at least some of that experience at the international level.
