Job Overview:
The consultant will play a crucial role in enhancing the eRegistrations online services and databases, ensuring that government officials, field experts, and DevOps/administrators can operate these systems more effectively. The position requires collaboration with international experts and focuses on developing advanced functionalities that improve user satisfaction and efficiency. The consultant will be responsible for implementing features such as translating default values in e-services, enabling users to save draft information, creating new filter functions for data analysis, and integrating a payment gateway into the system. This role is essential for the successful implementation of online business registration systems based on the eRegistrations framework.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop a functionality that allows users to translate default values in e-services, ensuring consistency across all labels.
  • Implement a 'save draft' feature in Display system Part B, enabling users to save their progress.
  • Create a new filter function for the edit grid that allows analysts to filter data using IN/NOT IN selectors.
  • Develop and integrate a payment gateway into the technical stack of the eRegistrations system, ensuring secure and efficient transactions.
  • Collaborate closely with the project coordinator and other international experts to ensure that all developments align with project goals and user needs.
  • Conduct thorough testing of new functionalities to ensure they meet user requirements and enhance the overall user experience.
  • Provide training and support to users on the new features and functionalities developed.

Required Qualifications:
  • A first university degree (Bachelor) in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • At least 12 years of experience in IT/web development related fields is essential.
  • Proven experience in business process analysis and both front-end and back-end development of complex systems is required.
  • Familiarity with the UNCTAD eRegistrations system is desirable, providing an advantage in understanding the specific requirements of the role.
