Job Overview:
The Project Coordinator for Access to Justice will play a crucial role in addressing the security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security needs of survivors of gender-based violence (GBV) and conflict-related gender-based violence (CRGBV) in the Central African Republic. This position is integral to IRC's strategy in CAR, focusing on the protection of conflict-affected individuals. The coordinator will provide technical guidance and support for the implementation of the INL project, ensuring alignment with national justice policies and strengthening coordination among stakeholders in the criminal justice system. The role involves developing access to justice projects, managing program implementation, and ensuring that the needs and aspirations of local communities are met effectively. The Project Coordinator will also contribute to the development of protection and rule of law proposals, enhancing IRC's impact in the region.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership for Rule of Law Protection (PRoL) programming, ensuring that it is needs-based and context-appropriate. Key responsibilities include promoting collaboration between various protection programs, identifying unmet needs, and ensuring alignment with IRC's Access to Justice strategies. The coordinator will manage Access to Justice projects, ensuring high technical quality and compliance with humanitarian standards. They will oversee recruitment, support team members, and ensure effective implementation of monitoring and evaluation systems. The role also involves regular field visits for monitoring progress, preparing reports, and representing IRC in various coordination mechanisms with legal stakeholders. Additionally, the coordinator will support local partners in project implementation and capacity building.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced degree in humanitarian assistance, human rights, international law, social sciences, or a related field. A minimum of five years of experience in implementing protection and rule of law programs in complex emergency contexts is required, along with a strong understanding of international humanitarian and human rights law. Expertise in protection risk analysis, monitoring, and community mobilization is essential, as well as experience in preventing and responding to GBV. Strong leadership, management, organizational, and team development skills are necessary, along with program and budget management capabilities. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required for effective collaboration with external parties.

Educational Background:
An advanced degree in humanitarian assistance, humanitarian work, human rights, international law, social sciences, or a related field is required for this position. This educational background is essential for understanding the complexities of humanitarian work and the legal frameworks that govern protection and rule of law initiatives.

Experience:
The position requires at least five years of experience in implementing protection and rule of law programs, particularly in the Central African Republic or similar complex emergency contexts. Candidates should have a proven track record in protection risk analysis, monitoring, and community mobilization, as well as practical experience in case management and access to justice initiatives in conflict-affected areas.

Languages:
Fluency in spoken and written French and English is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in these languages is crucial for effective communication with stakeholders, partners, and the communities served by IRC. Additional language skills may be considered an asset but are not required.
