Job Overview:
The Snr Health Manager plays a crucial role in implementing IRC's primary healthcare services and delivering quality health and nutrition programs in Sudan. This position involves supporting the design and development of health programs, ensuring technical quality, and fostering the development of program staff. The Snr Health Manager will oversee various health initiatives, including primary healthcare, community health, reproductive health, and maternal and child health programming, while emphasizing strong infection prevention and control measures. The role requires extensive fieldwork, with over 90% of the time spent in field locations, mentoring health teams, and maintaining regular communication with partners such as the Ministry of Health and UN agencies. The position is based in River Nile and involves frequent travel to field sites, with at least 50% of the time dedicated to field offices. The Snr Health Manager will collaborate with support departments and report directly to the Snr Health & Nutrition Coordinator.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Snr Health Manager's duties encompass a wide range of responsibilities, including program management, capacity strengthening support for the Ministry of Health (MoH), human resource management, grant management, budget monitoring, monitoring and evaluation, assuring program quality, and representation and coordination. Key responsibilities include supporting the Snr Health Coordinator in implementing IRC program activities, ensuring adherence to internal MEAL standards, preparing internal and donor reports, cultivating relationships with MoH staff, and coordinating with humanitarian and development actors. The manager will also identify health technical support needs, provide ongoing technical assistance, supervise health staff, ensure compliance with donor regulations, conduct budget reviews, and monitor project goals and objectives. Regular project reviews and site visits will be conducted to assess progress and provide on-site mentoring to health staff.

Required Qualifications:
