Job Overview:
The Digital Communications Contractor will play a crucial role in developing and implementing a cohesive digital communication strategy for the Human Resources (HR) department. This position requires the contractor to create engaging digital content, manage digital platforms, and ensure branding consistency across all communication products. The contractor will be responsible for producing various digital communication materials, including stories, blog posts, videos, and infographics, while also managing and training HR teams on digital platforms such as SharePoint and the ECA Intranet. The contractor will lead successful digital communication campaigns for HR events and services, ensuring that all digital assets are professionally designed and relevant to the target audience. Additionally, the contractor will enhance collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop effective digital media strategies and monitor website traffic and engagement metrics to assess the impact of communication efforts.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Digital Communications Contractor will have a range of responsibilities, including: assisting in the production of digital communication products while ensuring branding consistency; creating engaging content such as stories, blog posts, videos, and infographics; managing digital content on platforms like SharePoint and ECA Intranet; providing training on SharePoint to HRMS teams; running digital communication campaigns for HR events and services; designing HR assets using tools like Canva and Adobe Creative Suite; developing web pages using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; ensuring the accuracy and relevance of digital content; collaborating with cross-functional teams to create effective digital media strategies; monitoring website traffic and engagement metrics; and performing other duties as needed to support the HR department's communication efforts.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent as a minimum qualification. A first-level degree (Bachelor's Degree) in communications, public relations, marketing, graphic design, information and/or knowledge management, or related fields is desirable. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in digital communications, specifically focusing on internal HR communications, with proven experience in developing communication materials, assets, and plans across various platforms. Experience working with SharePoint sites, including managing, uploading, and sharing content, is considered an asset. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, Canva, video editing, and content management is also desirable. Strong writing and editing skills for digital platforms are essential for this role.

Educational Background:
Candidates are required to have at least a High School Diploma or equivalent. A Bachelor's Degree in communications, public relations, marketing, graphic design, information and/or knowledge management, or related areas is preferred and will enhance the candidate's qualifications for the position.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in digital communications, particularly with a focus on internal HR communications.
