Job Description
Tetra Tech International Development (http://www.tetratech.com/intdev) is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates for various potential technical specialist positions on an anticipated USAID-funded program in Liberia. The five-year USAID-funded Civil Society Activity.
The purpose of this activity is to strengthen Liberians’ ability to advocate for policy reforms, policy implementation, and service delivery through multi-stakeholder coalitions that build feedback loops among government, CSOs, and citizens.
Technical specialists will provide technical and management leadership and contributions to activities within their field of expertise to achieve project outcomes. These would be full-time positions based in Liberia for the full life of project (anticipated five years).
Tetra Tech seeks candidates with expertise in the following areas:
Civil society Strengthening, and capabilities in public sector reform and convening multi-stakeholder processes.
Institutional capacity development, and experience in working effectively with local civil society organizations and other development partners.
Governance and Private Sector engagement
Qualifications:
* An advanced degree (masters or higher) in any of the following or related fields: social sciences, international development, or management.
* At least at least 10 years professional experience in development at a senior program management level, including direct supervision of professional and support staff.
* At least 5 years in-country development work experience is preferred
* Previous work experience in Sub-Saharan Africa is preferred
* Demonstrated experience in working effectively with local civil society organizations, and capabilities in public sector reform and convening multi-stakeholder processes.
* Professional fluency in Liberian and English required.
