Job Overview:
The Operations Senior Analyst position is designed for a service-oriented and dynamic professional who will engage in technical and analytical activities aimed at enhancing the quality of the Department's operational products. This role is situated within the Climate Change and Sustainable Development Department (CSD), specifically in the CSD Front Office. The analyst will work closely with operations teams to improve the quality and effectiveness of loan project proposals and Technical Cooperations (TCs). The position involves facilitating coordination between various CSD Divisions and Units to advance the operational agenda and enhance the performance of the operations portfolio. The analyst will provide critical support throughout key project review and approval stages, ensuring that operational products align with Bank policies and international best practices.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Operations Senior Analyst will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: providing analytical, technical, and research support for both sovereign-guaranteed and non-sovereign-guaranteed operations; reviewing project proposals to enhance their design and evaluability; ensuring alignment of operational products with Bank policies and departmental priorities; conducting sector research and policy reviews; monitoring pipeline and portfolio performance; identifying implementation bottlenecks and recommending actions for improvement; preparing dashboards and analytical reports; and coordinating with CSD divisions to disseminate knowledge and support departmental initiatives. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in economics, public policy, public administration, international relations, political science, law, or a related field relevant to the responsibilities of the role. Additionally, applicants should have at least one year of relevant applied professional experience, with a preference for three years. A strong background in project design, management, evaluability, and monitoring and evaluation is essential. Experience in the LAC public sector or international development organizations is highly desirable, and familiarity with IDB policies and procedures is preferred.

Educational Background:
The educational requirement for this position is a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as economics, public policy, public administration, international relations, political science, or law. This educational background is crucial as it provides the foundational knowledge necessary for understanding the complexities of project management and evaluation within the context of international development.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of one year of relevant professional experience, although three years is preferred. This experience should include a strong focus on project design and management, as well as familiarity with the project cycle, including preparation, implementation, and reporting. Experience in data analysis and dashboard development is also desirable, particularly within the context of international development or the LAC public sector.

Languages:
Proficiency in both Spanish and English, both spoken and written, is mandatory for this position. Additionally, knowledge of French and Portuguese is considered a valuable asset, enhancing the candidate's ability to communicate effectively in a multilingual environment.

The position is offered as an international staff contract for an initial duration of 36 months, with the possibility of renewal upon mutual agreement.
