Job Overview: The LogisticsCoordinator plays a crucial role in the logistics department, supporting all operational logistics aspects under the technical supervision of the Logistics Manager. Duties and Responsibilities: The Logistics Coordinator will have a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to: ensuring adherence to NRC policies, manuals, and directives; implementing logistics functions as delegated; producing reports on logistics activities; supporting area offices in document management; proposing improvements for support functions; managing stock and inventory; overseeing personnel and equipment transportation; maintaining office equipment; contributing to the implementation of Green Logistics projects; replacing team leaders and logistics team members as needed; conducting field missions during office openings/closures; providing operational logistics support for emergencies; ensuring daily management of stock, vehicle fleet, and assets; verifying product quality against established standards; ensuring timely submission of logistics reports; following up on recommendations from various reports; managing taxes and fees; overseeing satellite phones and radios; managing logistics purchase requests; and evaluating training needs for capacity building.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a logistics coordinator in a support function within a humanitarian context. Previous experience in complex and unstable environments is essential, along with proven results in the responsibilities of the position. Experience in training and facilitating training sessions is also required. Proficiency in English is considered an asset, and candidates should have a good command of Excel and Word software. A minimum of 5 years of university education in fields related to technical training (logistics, electromechanics, management) is required, or a minimum of 6 years of experience in similar positions if educational qualifications are lower. Additionally, candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in team management and the ability to work closely with field personnel across different sectors.
