Job Overview:
The position of Consolideur & Controleur de gestion for the Association Nationale Belgique (AN) is situated within the financial management department at the headquarters of Handicap International. This role integrates into the Service Contrôle de gestion Siège et Associations Nationales (AN), which supports national associations and directors in the financial, budgetary, and analytical management of their activities. The position is responsible for producing financial reports, consolidating data from the network, monitoring financial risks, and continuously improving management tools and processes. The future team consists of 8 collaborators (7 in Lyon, 1 in Luxembourg) and operates in an international context with interactions with the United States and Germany. The objectives of the role include ensuring the combination and analysis of accounting, financial, budgetary, and analytical information from various entities within the HI network, guaranteeing the coherence, reconciliation, and traceability of data to produce combined financial statements for governance, auditors, and stakeholders, and ensuring budgetary monitoring, variance analysis, and risk assessment for a portfolio of national associations while advising managers in their decision-making processes. Additionally, the role involves overseeing the quality of financial data and optimizing the use of Business Intelligence tools and the Data Warehouse of the department.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Consolideur & Controleur de gestion include:
  • Producing and ensuring the reliability of financial data by guaranteeing coherence, reconciliation, and traceability of information for the production of combined financial statements (CROD, CER) for governance, auditors, and stakeholders.
  • Conducting budgetary monitoring and variance analysis for a portfolio of national associations, advising managers on decision-making processes.
  • Managing financial risks and implementing continuous improvements in management tools and processes.
  • Leading the quality of financial data and optimizing the use of Business Intelligence tools and the Data Warehouse.
  • Collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure effective communication and understanding of financial data and reporting.
  • Structuring data, formalizing management rules, and automating reporting processes.
  • Engaging in training and capacity-building activities for team members and stakeholders to enhance financial management practices.

Required Qualifications:
The required qualifications for the position include:
  • A solid educational background with a Master’s degree in finance, management control, or auditing.
  • Strong technical skills in finance, accounting, management control, and consolidation.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with data visualization tools, ideally Power BI.
  • Ability to structure data, formalize management rules, automate reporting, and understand ERP environments, Data Warehousing, and data governance.
  • A rigorous and reliable approach to work, with excellent organizational skills and priority management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize, simplify, and propose continuous improvements oriented towards solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including pedagogy, active listening to business needs, and a preference for cooperation with diverse stakeholders.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position is a Master’s degree (Master 2) in finance, management control, or auditing. This advanced level of education is essential to ensure that the candidate possesses the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to perform the complex financial analysis and management tasks associated with the role.

Experience:
Candidates should have a solid level of experience in finance and management control, ideally with a background in similar roles within non-profit organizations or international settings. Experience in producing financial reports, managing budgets, and working with diverse teams is highly valued. Familiarity with financial data analysis and reporting tools is also essential to meet the demands of the position effectively.

Languages:
Fluency in French is required, and proficiency in English is mandatory for both written and oral communication. The ability to communicate effectively in both languages is crucial for collaboration with international teams and stakeholders.

Additional Notes:
This position is offered as a fixed-term contract (CDD) to cover maternity leave, with a starting salary of 30,000 euros gross per year. The role is classified as a managerial position, and the organization promotes a flexible work environment with a telework charter.
