Job Overview:
The E T Consultant - Infrastructure Engineer, AV/VC Integration position at the World Bank is designed for an individual who will provide specialized expertise in the integration and deployment of Audio Visual (AV) and Video Conferencing (VC) systems. This role is critical in ensuring that AV/VC systems are installed, configured, tested, and handed over in a fully operational state, adhering to approved designs and safety standards. The consultant will work closely with various teams to support the end-to-end execution of AV/VC system integration, ensuring that installations meet operational readiness expectations. The position requires a hands-on approach to AV/VC integration, with responsibilities spanning site assessments, system configuration, testing, and documentation. The consultant will also play a key role in troubleshooting deployment issues and supporting operational readiness across headquarters and country offices.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct site assessments to validate readiness for AV/VC system installations, ensuring compliance with power, rack space, and cabling pathways.
  • Perform installations of AV/VC systems, including rack builds, equipment mounting, and structured cabling, while adhering to safety and engineering standards.
  • Configure and integrate multi-vendor AV/VC systems, including control systems, digital signal processing (DSP), audio, video distribution, and unified communications platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Webex, and Zoom.
  • Execute end-to-end system integration in alignment with approved designs and technical requirements.
  • Conduct functional testing and commissioning of systems, including signal verification and performance tuning, and validate interoperability across platforms.
  • Prepare commissioning reports and ensure systems meet defined acceptance criteria.
  • Develop accurate as-built documentation, configuration records, and cable schedules, and conduct knowledge transfer to operations teams.
  • Troubleshoot integration and deployment issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.

  • Develop repeatable integration procedures and execution playbooks, capturing lessons learned to improve delivery efficiency.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master's degree with at least five years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with at least seven years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of five years of hands-on experience in AV/VC integration and deployment is required, along with demonstrated experience in installation, configuration, commissioning, and system handover. Strong working knowledge of AV platforms and technologies, including Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, and digital signal processing systems, is essential. Experience with unified communications platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Webex, and Zoom is also required, along with an understanding of AV/network integration and system lifecycle execution. Candidates should have experience working in multi-vendor technical environments.

Educational Background:
The position requires a Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or a Bachelor's degree with significant relevant experience. The educational background should provide a strong foundation in technical principles related to AV/VC systems and integration.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of five years of hands-on experience specifically in AV/VC integration and deployment. This experience should include a proven track record of installation, configuration, commissioning, and successful handover of AV/VC systems. Candidates should also have experience working in diverse technical environments and with various AV platforms and technologies.

Languages:
