Job Overview:
The internship-position" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">internship position within the Board Affairs Team (BAT) of the Office of Governance Affairs at the Green Climate Fund offers a unique opportunity for individuals to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic international organization. The intern will play a crucial role in supporting the preparation for Board meetings, which are essential for the governance and operational oversight of GCF. This role involves coordinating activities across the Secretariat and contributing to various governance-related processes. Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will be expected to perform a variety of tasks under the guidance of designated supervisors within the Board Affairs Team. Key responsibilities include: a) Supporting the organization of Board meetings, which involves coordinating preparatory sessions and facilitating communication across the Secretariat; b) Assisting in the tracking and follow-up of Board consultations on policy items, ensuring that all relevant stakeholders are engaged and informed; c) Contributing to document-related work, which includes managing aspects of the Board documentation process to ensure accuracy and timeliness; d) Performing other related tasks as required to support the overall work of the Board Affairs Team, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to engage in diverse activities that contribute to the team's objectives.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for this internship must meet several qualifications to ensure they can effectively contribute to the Board Affairs Team. These include: a) Enrollment in a Master’s program in business, finance, climate change, sustainability, or related fields, demonstrating a strong academic background relevant to the position; b) Knowledge and experience with investments, financial institutions, and/or climate change issues, which are critical for understanding the context of GCF's work; c) Familiarity with the operations of international organizations is considered an asset, as it provides insight into the governance structures and processes that the intern will be involved in; d) Proficiency in standard software programs such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access, which are essential for performing various tasks efficiently; e) Excellent writing, analytical, and presentation skills, which are necessary for effective communication and documentation; f) Fluency in English is essential, while knowledge of another United Nations language, particularly French, Spanish, or Portuguese, is advantageous and may enhance the intern's ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this internship position includes enrollment in a Master’s program. Candidates should be pursuing studies in fields such as business, finance, climate change, sustainability, or other related disciplines.
