Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct legal research on various issues related to human rights and social justice.

Help organize workshops and training sessions on legal rights and advocacy.

Collaborate with other departments within ActionAid to support their legal needs.

Required Qualifications:
A strong interest in human rights, social justice, and legal advocacy.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Familiarity with legal databases and research tools is an advantage.
Educational Background: Candidates should be pursuing or have completed a degree in Law or a related field. A focus on human rights law or public interest law is preferred. Additional certifications or training in legal research or advocacy will be considered an asset.
Experience: No prior experience is required, but any internships or volunteer work related to law, human rights, or social justice will be beneficial. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to learning and a passion for legal work in the context of social change.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of Kiswahili or other local languages is an advantage, as it will facilitate communication with community members and stakeholders.
