Job Overview:
The Field Coordinator position is crucial as it acts as the delegated director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Country Director for the area of intervention, which includes both Gaza and the West Bank. The role involves leading the field base, defining and steering the operational strategy in response to the humanitarian and geopolitical context, ensuring program quality, and compliance with SI standards. The Field Coordinator is responsible for mobilizing resources necessary for implementation, managing teams, and overseeing safety, representation, and external coordination. Given the volatile context in which SI operates, particularly in Gaza, the Field Coordinator must navigate complex security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security challenges while ensuring effective program delivery and team management.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Field Coordinator will have a range of responsibilities including: 1) Leading and managing the field base team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members. 2) Developing and implementing operational strategies that align with SI's mission and the specific needs of the Gaza and West Bank regions. 3) Ensuring compliance with SI's standards and procedures in all program activities. 4) Overseeing the safety and security of the team, including the establishment of security protocols and regular training on security awareness. 5) Engaging with local organizations, authorities, and other stakeholders to enhance SI's operational capacity and representation in the region. 6) Monitoring and evaluating program implementation to ensure quality and effectiveness, making adjustments as necessary based on feedback and changing conditions. 7) Managing financial resources and ensuring proper allocation and reporting of funds. 8) Supporting the recruitment and training of national staff to build local capacity and ensure sustainability of operations. 9) Representing SI in external meetings and forums to advocate for the needs of the populations served and to strengthen partnerships.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and guide less experienced team members. They should be adept at navigating complex and rapidly changing environments, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in their approach. Strong organizational skills are essential, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively under tight deadlines. Excellent representational skills are required for liaising with various stakeholders, including NGOs, authorities, and donors. A solid understanding of security management and humanitarian issues is crucial, along with the ability to produce high-quality reports in English.

Educational Background:
A relevant educational background in logistics, transport, warehousing, IT, supply chain management, or a related field is required for this position. Candidates should have a strong foundation in the principles of humanitarian aid and development, as well as an understanding of the specific challenges faced in conflict-affected areas.

Experience:
Candidates should have significant experience in humanitarian aid, particularly in roles that involve team management and operational coordination. Experience working in volatile security contexts is highly desirable, as is familiarity with the specific challenges of operating in Gaza and the West Bank. Previous experience with Solidarités International or similar organizations will be considered an asset, particularly if it includes work in South Sudan or other conflict-affected regions.

Languages:
Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in Arabic is considered a strong asset, as it will facilitate communication with local staff and stakeholders.

Additional Notes:
This position is a salaried role with a starting salary of EUR 2,310 gross per month, which includes a base salary and an annual leave allowance. Additionally, a monthly per diem of USD 750 is provided. SI covers accommodation costs and travel expenses for expatriates. The contract duration is for 7 months, beginning on July 1, 202

• Expatriates are entitled to breaks during their assignment, with a system of alternating work and time off implemented at the rate of 7 working days every three months, along with a break allowance. An insurance package is provided, covering healthcare expenses and essential vaccinations. The position is based in Deir el-Balah, where SI maintains its office and guesthouse, and living conditions have improved since the ceasefire, although challenges remain.
