BDT operates in four main functional areas: Operations Coordination, Projects and Partnerships, Digital Networks and Environment, and Digital Knowledge Society. The organization works closely with Member States, particularly the G77 countries, to address various ICT development challenges, including connectivity, spectrum management, and cybersecurity support.

Job Overview:
The internship-position" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">internship position is designed to support the Women in Cyber programme, specifically the Her CyberTracks initiative. Interns will work under the supervision of the Women in Cyber project manager, contributing to the successful implementation of various projects and initiatives aimed at promoting women's participation in cybersecurity. The role involves providing project management support, assisting in the development and delivery of training materials, organizing networking events, and facilitating communication between mentors and mentees. Interns will also engage in data collection and analysis to inform project design and impact assessment, conduct background research, and prepare analytical briefs and reports for both internal and external stakeholders. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about women's empowerment in the tech industry and looking to gain hands-on experience in project management and research.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Interns will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including: 1. Providing general support to the Project lead in managing the Women in Cyber projects. 2. Assisting in the implementation of the Her CyberTracks project, which includes developing and delivering training sessions, creating career development materials, and organizing networking meetings and events. 3. Coordinating communication between mentors and mentees involved in the Her CyberTracks initiative. 4. Supporting the communications function by drafting news articles, testimonials, and presentations, as well as maintaining and editing online program content. 5. Contributing to data collection and analysis on trends related to women in cybersecurity, which will help inform project design and assess impact. 6. Conducting background research to support the design and development of new activities under the Women in Cyber programme. 7. Preparing analytical briefs, reports, and presentations for internal use and external partners, synthesizing insights from ongoing projects and activities.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess excellent organizational skills, enabling them to manage multiple tasks and adhere to timelines while supporting project activities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as the role requires effective collaboration within a multicultural team and coordination with various stakeholders. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate excellent research and analytical abilities, capable of conducting background research and synthesizing information related to women in cybersecurity trends. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools is also required for this position.

Educational Background:
Candidates should be currently enrolled in or have recently graduated from a bachelor's or master's degree program in a relevant field such as International Relations, Political Science, Development Studies, or a related discipline. This educational background will provide the necessary foundation for understanding the complexities of telecommunications and ICT development, particularly in relation to gender issues in cybersecurity.

Experience:
No prior work experience is required for this internship position. This opportunity is designed for individuals who are either currently pursuing their education or have recently completed their studies, allowing them to gain practical experience in a professional setting while contributing to meaningful projects.

Languages:
The mandatory language requirement for this position is an advanced level of English. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset, particularly if they are relevant to the organization's work or the specific projects being undertaken.

Additional Notes:
This internship is unpaid and will be conducted remotely, allowing candidates to work from home. It is important to note that the conditions of this non-remunerated internship differ from those of short-term or fixed-term positions. Interns will be responsible for their own medical insurance, travel, accommodation, and living expenses. To be eligible for this internship, candidates must be under 30 years of age, currently enrolled in an academic program or a recent graduate, and a citizen of a Member State of ITU. The internship duration is between 4 to 6 months, and the recruitment is open to external candidates.
