Job Overview: The Administration and coordinator" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Finance Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the financial integrity and operational efficiency of ACF's mission in Port Sudan. This position is responsible for overseeing the financial management of the mission, ensuring compliance with ACF's internal procedures and donor guidelines. The coordinator will manage the finance department staff, providing support and development to ensure optimal project cycle management from a financial perspective. The role involves strategic financial planning, risk management, and maintaining financial equilibrium in line with the mission's objectives. The coordinator will also be responsible for treasury management, accountancy supervision, and administrative management, ensuring adherence to local laws and regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Mission Financial Management: Ensure financial equilibrium according to yearly objectives, manage financial planning, control cost structures, and deliver timely budget follow-ups and financial reports.
Mission Treasury and Accountancy Supervision: Supervise monthly accountancy closing, manage treasury flows, and ensure compliance with financial procedures.
Administrative Management: Oversee administrative documentation, represent the mission to local authorities, and ensure compliance with local laws.
Relationship with Counterparts: Train partners on financial procedures, supervise partner invoices, and consolidate financial reports.
Management of Finance Teams: Develop team structure, motivate staff, conduct evaluations, and identify training needs.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, specifically in finance and administration at a departmental level. Proven experience in budget preparation, financial reporting, and understanding of procurement policies is essential. Knowledge of donor guidelines and experience working with local NGOs is highly desirable. Candidates should possess strong communication skills and demonstrate the ability to work in multicultural environments, ensuring effective team coordination and capacity building.
Educational Background: A higher education degree in management, economics, or a related field is required for this position. Candidates should have a profound understanding of financial management principles and practices, as well as knowledge of ACF's organizational structure and procedures.
Experience: The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of relevant experience in the humanitarian sector, particularly in finance and administration roles. Experience in preparing multi-year budgets, financial reports, and managing audits is crucial. Familiarity with accounting software such as SAGA or Agresso is also beneficial.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory, and knowledge of Arabic is considered an asset. Strong communication skills in both languages will enhance the candidate's ability to interact with local partners and stakeholders effectively.
Additional Notes: This position is a full-time role with a contract duration of 12 months, based in Port Sudan. The compensation package includes a salary based on ACF's salary scale, expatriate insurance, annual holiday return flight tickets, accommodation expenses, and travel costs. Employees are entitled to 26 working days of paid leave per year.
