Job Overview:
The Partnerships Analyst position is a critical role within the North Africa Multi-Country Office (NAMCO) of UNOPS, which focuses on expanding its mandate across North Africa and the Indian Ocean Small Island Developing States (SIDS). Duties and Responsibilities:
The Partnerships Analyst will undertake a variety of duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Project Development and Positioning of UNOPS: Identify and assess potential project and business opportunities that align with UNOPS' mandate and strategic priorities. Analyze development priorities, government programs, donor strategies, and emerging needs to identify opportunities for engagement. Lead the development of expressions of interest, concept notes, proposals, and other project development documents. Coordinate with internal teams and prospective partners to clarify project requirements and develop project concepts.
• Partnerships and Resource Mobilization: Identify and assess funding and partnership opportunities with various stakeholders, including governments, UN entities, and international financial institutions. Develop and maintain a structured overview of key partners and funding mechanisms. Prepare and coordinate substantive inputs for donor and partner meetings and resource mobilization activities.
• Strategic Planning and Position: Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic positioning and resource mobilization priorities. Analyze development trends and financing landscapes to identify strategic opportunities for UNOPS. Prepare analytical inputs to inform management decisions and external engagements.
• Communication and Knowledge Management: Provide communication and knowledge management support to partnership and project development activities. Contribute to the visibility of UNOPS through events, publications, and outreach activities. Maintain relevant information and document engagement outcomes to facilitate knowledge sharing.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires a Master's degree or equivalent in international affairs, law, business administration, social sciences, economics, agriculture, environmental studies, development studies, or another field relevant to international development assistance. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in the same fields are also considered, provided they have at least two years of relevant experience. Additionally, candidates must possess strong analytical skills, communication abilities, and experience in partnership development and resource mobilization.

Educational Background:
Candidates must hold a Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as international affairs, law, business administration, social sciences, economics, agriculture, environmental studies, or development studies. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in these fields is acceptable if accompanied by two years of relevant work experience. This educational background ensures that candidates have the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to succeed in the role.

Experience:
The Partnerships Analyst position requires a minimum of two years of relevant work experience, particularly in partnership development and resource mobilization. Candidates should have experience working directly with internal and external partners, including governments and international donors. Experience in professional proposal writing is also essential. Previous experience in North Africa and familiarity with UNOPS or other UN agencies is considered an asset, as is proficiency in Google Suite tools and web-based management systems.

Languages:
Fluency in French and English is mandatory for this position, as these are the primary languages used in communication and documentation. Basic proficiency in Arabic is desirable, as it may enhance communication with local partners and stakeholders in the region. Candidates should demonstrate strong language skills to effectively engage with diverse audiences and contribute to partnership development efforts.

It is a full-time role with a contract type of ICA - LICA - Specialist - Regular, lasting for one year.
