Job Overview: The Facilitator position is a full-time role based in Kharkiv, Ukraine, where the incumbent will play a crucial role in the implementation of FAO's programs aimed at assisting rural households affected by the remnants of war. The Facilitator will be responsible for ensuring accurate data collection, verification, and coordination of distribution efforts in the Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, and Kherson regions. This role requires close collaboration with local authorities, community leaders, and FAO teams to identify and assist vulnerable households. The Facilitator will also engage in stakeholder meetings to inform beneficiaries about the program and ensure compliance with FAO protocols during distribution events. The position emphasizes accountability to affected populations and the implementation of protection standards against sexual exploitation and abuse.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Facilitator will carry out a variety of tasks including:
Data collection and beneficiary verification, which involves preparing registration forms, training local authorities on data collection tools, and overseeing beneficiary registration processes.
Engaging with stakeholders by organizing meetings to inform beneficiaries about program details and maintaining communication with partners.
Managing distribution events to ensure fairness and compliance with FAO protocols.
Conducting monitoring and reporting activities to assess the effectiveness of assistance and document any irregularities.
Promoting accountability by ensuring beneficiaries understand their rights and the feedback mechanisms available to them.
Handling administrative and logistical tasks related to project implementation, including monitoring training and workshop arrangements.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a university degree in Social Sciences, Law, Economics, Statistics, or a related field. They should have at least one year of relevant experience in partnerships and facilitating training activities. A working knowledge of Russian and Ukrainian at level C and limited knowledge of English at level B is required. Additionally, candidates must be nationals of Ukraine.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a university degree in a relevant field such as Social Sciences, Law, Economics, or Statistics. It is essential that the degree is obtained from an accredited institution recognized in the World Higher Education Database (WHED).
Experience: The position requires at least one year of relevant experience in partnerships and facilitating training activities. Experience working with diverse and multicultural groups, particularly in humanitarian or development contexts, is highly valued. Prior experience with UN agencies or similar international organizations is also desirable.
Languages: Mandatory languages for this position include Russian and Ukrainian, with a working proficiency required at level C. Limited knowledge of English at level B is also necessary. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset but is not mandatory.
