Job Overview:
The Fuel Logistics Coordinator position is crucial for enhancing the management of fuel within the UNHCR organization. The incumbent will be responsible for implementing the UNHCR fuel management framework, which involves identifying and addressing gaps in budgeting, procurement, storage, consumption, monitoring, and reporting on fuel in field operations. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of fuel management practices and the ability to coordinate logistics operations related to fuel infrastructure. The Coordinator will work closely with various teams to ensure effective and efficient fuel management, contributing to the integrity and accountability of UNHCR operations. The position reports to the project lead and is integral to the Global Fleet Management Unit's efforts to optimize fuel management processes.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Fuel Logistics Coordinator include:

• Implementation of the Standard on Fuel Management in UNHCR, which involves familiarizing oneself with existing fuel management practices, including the number and capacity of fuel storage sites, procurement processes, and monitoring systems.
• Developing a detailed work plan for the consultancy period, including risk management and training for country fuel managers.
• Coordinating logistics operations related to bulk fuel infrastructure, ensuring compliance with UNHCR supply chain procedures, and preparing deployment plans for leased bulk fuel tanks.
• Liaising with freight forwarders and suppliers to arrange transportation and monitor shipment timelines.
• Maintaining updated records of tank deployments and vendor performance, preparing regular reports on fuel infrastructure logistics, and ensuring preventive maintenance and safety checks are carried out.
• Collaborating with various UNHCR functions to streamline fuel infrastructure deployment and upgrades, while tracking expenditures and supporting budget forecasting.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires a degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related engineering discipline. Additionally, candidates must have at least ten years of relevant experience in international logistics, supply management, and fuel management, including monitoring and quality control. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment. Candidates should also demonstrate a commitment to UNHCR's mission and values.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess a degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related engineering discipline. An advanced university degree may reduce the required experience by two years, allowing candidates with eight years of relevant experience to qualify for the position. Experience:
The position requires a minimum of ten years of relevant experience in international logistics, supply management, and fuel management.
