Job Posting Organization:
The position is located within the Enterprise Risk Management Section of the Accountability Service in the Business Transformation and Accountability Division (BTAD) of the Department of Management Strategy, Policy and Compliance (DMSPC) of the United Nations. Job Overview:
The UN Management and Programme Analysis Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation of the enterprise risk management (ERM) framework across the Secretariat. The incumbent will assist in various planning and implementation activities, ensuring that the ERM processes are effectively integrated into the organization's operations. This position requires a proactive approach to research, data analysis, and collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure that risk management practices are adhered to and that relevant information is communicated effectively. The role also involves acting as a liaison between different organizational units, facilitating the coordination of ERM-related activities, and ensuring that all project documentation is processed in a timely manner. The assistant will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and assisting with data presentations to support decision-making processes.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the UN Management and Programme Analysis Assistant include providing assistance in planning and implementing activities related to the ERM framework, researching and summarizing analyses of risk registers, coordinating the implementation of the ERM application within the Umoja (SAP) GRC module, and acting as a system administrator for third-party access to the ERM application. The assistant will also be responsible for monitoring and evaluating programmes/projects, tracking and analyzing data, preparing budget estimates, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data submitted. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with programme/project managers, maintaining internal databases, drafting correspondence related to programme/project administration, and assisting with data collection and analysis for reporting purposes. The assistant will also be expected to perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Management and Programme Analyst.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. A first-level university degree or higher is preferred, as it reduces the minimum required work experience from seven years to five years. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in programme or project administration, technical cooperation, or a related area. Familiarity with enterprise risk management processes and experience with system-based tools such as Umoja/SAP is desirable. Candidates should also demonstrate proficiency in data handling and reporting, as well as experience supporting system implementation and user processes.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a high school diploma or equivalent. However, candidates with a first-level university degree or higher will be given preference, as this qualification reduces the required years of relevant experience. The educational qualifications should ideally be complemented by relevant training or certifications in programme management, project administration, or enterprise risk management.

Experience:
A minimum of seven years of experience in programme or project administration, technical cooperation, or a related area is required for this position. Candidates with a first-level university degree or higher may qualify with a minimum of five years of relevant experience. Experience in implementing enterprise risk management at the international level is highly desirable, as is experience in supporting enterprise risk management processes through system-based tools. Candidates should also have a strong background in data handling, reporting, and supporting system implementation and user processes.

Languages:
The working languages of the United Nations Secretariat are English and French. For this position, proficiency in English is required, with a minimum level of proficiency set at UN Level II for reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Knowledge of French is considered an asset but is not mandatory for this role.
