Job Overview: The Individual Contractor will provide strategic and operational financial management support to the Chief of Administration in overseeing, monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on financial resources across the Climate Change Division and Industry and Economy Division. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Individual Contractor include acting as a key focal point for financial analysis and oversight, conducting financial analysis, monitoring budget implementation and expenditure trends, and preparing financial forecasts and management reports. The contractor will support the implementation and monitoring of the operational cost recovery process, review financial and administrative transactions for compliance, and provide strategic financial advice and analytical support to management. Coordination with various teams across the Climate Change Division and Industry and Economy Division is essential to ensure effective financial management and timely information sharing. The contractor will also identify financial risks and control weaknesses, contribute to the implementation of strengthened internal controls, and prepare periodic and ad hoc financial analyses and reports to support audits and management reviews.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess an advanced university degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Public Administration, or a related field. A minimum of four years of progressively responsible experience in financial management, budgeting, financial analysis, or related areas is required. Demonstrated experience in providing financial advisory support to senior management and contributing to financial planning and decision-making processes is essential. Additionally, experience in financial oversight, budget monitoring, operational cost recovery, and compliance with financial rules and regulations is required. Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as Umoja and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools are also necessary.
