Job Overview:
The Principal, Smart Workplace is tasked with leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Bank's Smart Workplace systems, services, and technologies. This role is pivotal in supporting the Smart Workplace strategy and roadmap set by the Associate Director of Sustainability & Smart Workplace. The Principal acts as the senior specialist for Smart Workplace technologies, workplace analytics, and management systems, ensuring their effective operation and enhancement across Headquarters and Resident Offices. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including Corporate Services, Information Technology, and external service providers, to deliver Smart Workplace initiatives and manage the performance of workplace technology solutions. The Principal will also provide specialist advice to enhance workplace planning, operational efficiency, and employee experience objectives, while managing projects, contracts, budgets, and supplier relationships.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Principal, Smart Workplace will have a wide range of responsibilities, including:
  • Strategic Leadership: Supporting the development and implementation of the Smart Workplace strategy, contributing operational insights, and identifying opportunities for innovation and service improvement.
  • Smart Workplace Ownership: Managing the day-to-day operations of Smart Workplace systems, ensuring they are effective and aligned with business requirements.
  • Data, Analytics, and Decision Support: Developing workplace analytics and performance reporting, presenting findings to senior management.
  • Technology and Integration Management: Leading the enhancement of workplace systems and ensuring compliance with Bank standards.
  • Commercial and Financial Management: Managing budget planning and procurement activities related to Smart Workplace solutions.
  • Portfolio and Project Leadership: Leading Smart Workplace projects, ensuring successful delivery against scope and budget.
  • People Leadership: Providing management and development support to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Building effective relationships with various departments and influencing decision-making through technical expertise.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess extensive experience in Smart Technologies, platforms, and IoT products, as well as workplace planning and office relocations. A strong understanding of furniture specification, industry developments, and integration of Smart building systems is essential. Knowledge of current health and safety standards and legislation is also required. Proficiency in Accordant, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office products, along with a good understanding of relational database systems and SQL, is necessary. Candidates should also have strong analytical skills, project management capabilities, and excellent communication skills.

Educational Background:
A relevant degree in a field such as engineering, information technology, or business management is preferred. Additional certifications in project management or workplace management systems may be advantageous.

Experience:
The position requires significant experience in managing Smart Workplace technologies and projects, with a proven track record in workplace planning and technology integration. Candidates should have experience in leading teams and managing supplier relationships effectively.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, and proficiency in additional languages relevant to the EBRD's member countries would be considered an asset.
