Job Overview:
The Asistente de Recursos Humanos will play a crucial role in providing administrative and office support to the Human Resources (HR) processes within CRS Guatemala. This position involves preparing, typing, photocopying, and scanning documentation related to employees, such as employment contracts, termination letters, and salary adjustment letters. The assistant will deliver high-quality service to employees with HR-related inquiries and support recruitment processes, which include posting job advertisements, collecting CVs, managing candidate interactions, coordinating interviews, verifying references, and preparing employment contracts. Additionally, the role requires maintaining employee records, ensuring that all documentation is complete and up-to-date regarding hiring, promotions, transfers, or terminations. The assistant will also coordinate logistics for staff events, manage health insurance processes, and support HR initiatives within the agency. This position is essential for fostering a supportive work environment and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and local labor laws.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to HR processes, including documentation preparation and management.
  • Assist in recruitment activities such as job postings, CV collection, candidate communication, and interview coordination.
  • Maintain and update employee records, ensuring completeness and compliance with CRS requirements.
  • Coordinate logistics for staff events, including training workshops and orientation sessions.
  • Manage health insurance processes, including employee enrollment and documentation follow-up.
  • Support the induction process for new hires and monitor compliance with training requirements.
  • Collaborate with HR processes in CRS Mexico, ensuring documentation is current and accurate.
  • Update the office information board monthly with relevant HR information.
  • Facilitate the issuance of employee identification cards and manage related paperwork. 1

Required Qualifications:
  • A degree in Secretarial Studies or Accounting, with university studies in Industrial Psychology or Business Administration preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a human resources assistant role, with knowledge of HR practices and recruitment processes.
  • Experience working with an international organization is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Windows and MS Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Practical experience with data entry in databases and online forms.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in both Spanish and English.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess a degree in Secretarial Studies or Accounting, with additional university-level studies in Industrial Psychology or Business Administration being highly desirable. This educational background provides the necessary foundation for understanding HR practices and administrative functions within an organization.

Experience:
The position requires at least 2 years of relevant work experience in a human resources assistant role. Languages:
