Job Overview:
The position of Asociado(a) de Programas SBC SO2 is crucial for the implementation of the Social Behavior Change (SBC) strategy aimed at promoting healthy eating habits in Guatemala. This role involves leading the Generación Chispuda initiative, which is a national movement designed to encourage healthy dietary practices through positive messaging, participatory experiences, social innovation, strategic partnerships, and community mobilization. The incumbent will be responsible for technical, operational, and administrative follow-up to strengthen the territorial implementation of this initiative, ensuring collaboration with public institutions, the private sector, and strategic partners. The position requires a proactive approach to mobilizing social engagement, organizing community activities, managing logistics, generating evidence, and systematizing learnings to contribute directly to the Strategic Objective 2 of WFP, which focuses on enhancing food systems and promoting equitable access to nutritious diets.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Asociado(a) de Programas SBC SO2 include:

• Implementing the SBC strategy by leading the planning, execution, and monitoring of the Generación Chispuda campaign and other SBC initiatives aimed at promoting healthy diets. This involves coordinating work plans, indicators, and monitoring mechanisms to ensure compliance with results and deliverables.
• Directing the planning and implementation of campaigns, events, and social mobilization actions to promote healthy eating.
• Coordinating with technical teams to update and validate communication materials, ensuring their relevance and cultural appropriateness.
• Providing technical assistance to strategic partners and suppliers to ensure the quality of interventions.
• Ensuring the integration of SBC approaches in various WFP interventions and programs.
• Identifying innovative approaches and partnerships to enhance the impact of SBC strategies.
• Leading the coordination with marketing agencies for campaign implementation and ensuring compliance with contractual deliverables.
• Analyzing campaign data to inform decision-making and documenting best practices and lessons learned.
• Strengthening marketing capacities for associations and cooperatives involved in food value chains, providing technical assistance in marketing strategies and market access. 1
• Facilitating connections between producers and markets to promote local nutritious foods. 1
• Documenting lessons learned and generating evidence to inform future interventions.

Required Qualifications:
The required qualifications for this position include a Bachelor's degree in social sciences, communication, nutrition, health sciences, psychology, pedagogy, or related fields. Candidates should have at least seven years of progressively responsible experience, with a minimum of one year working on nutrition projects with a focus on public and community management. Knowledge of humanitarian work contexts and experience with the United Nations system or local NGOs is desirable. Candidates should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, analytical abilities, and the capacity to prioritize and coordinate with various stakeholders to achieve results. Proficiency in Windows and MS Office applications is also required.

Educational Background:
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in relevant fields such as social sciences, communication, nutrition, health sciences, psychology, pedagogy, or other related disciplines. This educational background is essential for understanding the complexities of social behavior change and its application in promoting healthy diets and food systems.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in relevant fields, with at least one year specifically focused on nutrition projects that involve public and community management. Languages:
