Job Overview: The Senior PSP Assistant (Digital) position is a critical role within UNHCR Malaysia, focusing on expanding the organization's digital fundraising efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and implementing online fundraising campaigns, utilizing various digital platforms to attract and engage potential donors. This role requires a strong understanding of marketing" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">digital marketing strategies and the ability to analyze user engagement data to optimize fundraising performance. The position aims to establish a sustainable source of funding through monthly donors recruited via digital channels, thereby supporting UNHCR's mission to provide assistance to refugees and other vulnerable populations. The candidate will work closely with various teams to enhance UNHCR's brand awareness and improve public perceptions of refugees, ultimately driving financial support for the organization's programs.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Senior PSP Assistant (Digital) include:
Assisting in the planning and execution of online fundraising campaigns, including search and display advertising, crowdfunding, and social media marketing.
Supporting omnichannel fundraising efforts, such as Direct Response TV fundraising and face-to-face fundraising initiatives.
Reviewing and adapting web content from both local and global perspectives to enhance engagement across digital platforms.
Analyzing user journeys and social media insights to optimize engagement and conversion rates.
Coordinating the production and management of digital assets to ensure effective campaign execution.
Determining promotional tactics to increase web traffic and donor engagement.
Assisting in procurement processes and related administrative tasks.
Contributing to digital content creation and management, including scheduling and reporting. 1
Performing any other responsibilities as assigned by supervisors.
Required Qualifications: The required qualifications for this position include:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage a diverse workload and meet tight deadlines.
Experience engaging with external vendors and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
Capacity to work independently without direct supervision.
Proficiency in computerized accounting packages and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Experience in running digital performance campaigns across various platforms.
Knowledge of mobile marketing, social media marketing, and digital analytics.
Familiarity with digital content management and active social media community management.
Understanding of refugee issues and the NGO sector is an asset.
Educational Background: Candidates must have completed secondary education or possess a university degree in Communication, Sales and Marketing, or a related field. A higher level of education is preferred, particularly for those with a background in digital marketing or fundraising.
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience with a high school diploma or 1 year with a bachelor's degree or higher in digital marketing or fundraising. Experience in developing and executing digital fundraising tactics at a national level is essential.
Languages: Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of additional UN languages, such as Mandarin or Cantonese, is considered an asset.
Additional Notes: This position is offered under a UNOPS Local ICA contract until December 31, 2026, with the possibility of extension. The role is full-time and does not require functional clearance. The monthly net salary ranges from MYR 5,589.17 to MYR 7,079.58, depending on relevant experience.
