Job Overview: The Human Resources Reporting, Learning and Recruitment Intern will play a crucial role in supporting the PPP Unit's mission to deliver client-oriented services and maintain a model of excellence. The intern will work under the authority of the Chief of PPP and the supervision of the HR Associate, contributing to various HR reporting activities, recruitment processes, and supporting the overall functions of the JPOSC-managed programmes. This position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in human resources within an international organization, while also contributing to the development and implementation of talent programmes targeting early professionals and senior technical experts.
Duties and Responsibilities: The intern will assist in the following duties and responsibilities:
Human Resources Reporting (30% of time): - Assist in retrieving, analyzing, and compiling results from annual satisfaction surveys targeting JPOSC clients. - Review and update survey questionnaires. - Send out JPO/SDP annual satisfaction surveys and monitor participation. - Compile and analyze survey results and prepare presentations on these results. - Support other HR reporting activities as applicable.
Support the PPP Recruitment Activities (30% of time): - Coordinate interviews and solicit reference checks. - Draft interview reports and provide other related support to recruitment as needed.
Supporting other JPOSC PPP activities (40% of time): - Assist in preparations for JPO pre-departure briefings. - Help prepare presentation materials for learning activities. - Support learning and development activities. - Manage projects such as the Global Coffee Roulette. - Assist with any ad hoc activities related to the JPOSC-managed programmes.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must meet one of the following educational requirements: - Currently in the final year of a bachelor’s degree; or - Currently enrolled in a master’s degree; or - Have graduated no longer than 1 year ago from a master’s degree or equivalent studies. The preferred fields of study include social or political science, economics, business administration, human resources, communications, or equivalent. Prior experience in reporting is considered an asset. Additionally, candidates should possess strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel. Knowledge and experience in graphic design, reporting software, and data visualization are also advantageous.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes being in the final year of a bachelor’s degree, currently enrolled in a master’s degree, or having graduated no longer than one year ago from a master’s degree or equivalent studies. The fields of study that are relevant for this internship include social or political science, economics, business administration, human resources, communications, or related disciplines.
Experience: The level of experience needed for this position is relatively flexible, as candidates may be in their final year of undergraduate studies or currently pursuing a master's degree. However, prior experience in reporting or related fields is considered an asset, which may enhance a candidate's application. The internship is designed to provide practical experience, so candidates with limited professional experience are still encouraged to apply, especially if they demonstrate strong analytical and organizational skills.
Languages: Fluency in English is required for this position, as it is the primary language of communication within the organization. Additionally, a good working knowledge of French and/or Spanish is considered an asset, which may enhance the candidate's ability to engage with diverse teams and stakeholders within the UNDP framework.

Interns will receive a monthly stipend of approximately $1000 to cover costs associated with the internship, although the exact amount may vary. All expenses related to the internship will be borne by the intern or their sponsoring entity, and UNDP does not accept responsibility for costs arising from accidents, illness, or death during the internship. Interns are responsible for obtaining necessary visas and arranging travel to and from the duty station. They must also provide proof of enrollment in a health insurance plan. Interns are expected to work full-time, but flexibility is allowed for educational commitments.
