Job Overview:

As part of the IT Security division, the intern will support the Identity and Access Management (IdAM) team, contributing to various projects that enhance the security posture of the organization. The role involves collaborating with security experts and participating in initiatives that shape the future of technology at EBRD. Interns will gain hands-on experience in vulnerability management, penetration testing, and the implementation of security policies and procedures. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to learn and grow in a professional setting, with a focus on making a positive impact through their contributions.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will be responsible for supporting the IdAM team in various capacities, including but not limited to: assisting with vulnerability management and penetration testing activities; conducting research and analysis on emerging security threats and best practices; supporting the administration and operational management of the BeyondTrust Password Safe platform; performing daily health checks and monitoring activities related to privileged access management; assisting with the onboarding and maintenance of privileged accounts; preparing reports and documentation; and supporting the day-to-day management of security tools. The intern will also have the opportunity to engage in continuous improvement initiatives for privileged access management processes and controls, ensuring compliance and service availability.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates should possess a strong theoretical foundation in Cyber Security principles, including knowledge of malware, phishing, encryption, and authentication. A basic understanding of network concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, and firewalls is essential. Familiarity with operating systems like Windows and Linux is also required. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication abilities, and a proactive attitude towards learning and engagement with stakeholders.

Educational Background:
Applicants should be currently pursuing or have recently completed a degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. This educational background is crucial for understanding the technical aspects of the role and for contributing effectively to the team.

Experience:
While prior experience in the Cyber Security domain is not mandatory, any relevant experience, such as internships, lab work, or participation in Capture The Flag (CTF) competitions, will be considered advantageous. Candidates with experience using security tools or those who have completed courses or certifications in Cyber Security will have a competitive edge.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, as it is the working language of the EBRD. Knowledge of additional languages may be considered a plus, particularly if they are relevant to the regions in which the EBRD operates.

This internship is a full-time position with a contract length of 12 months. The EBRD promotes a hybrid working model, encouraging collaboration in person at least three days a week.
