Job Overview: The position of Associate in Prevention of Money Laundering for the Private Sector involves supporting the collection, organization, and systematization of technical information related to the prevention of Money Laundering (ML), Terrorism Financing (TF), and Proliferation Financing (PF). The role requires the preparation of supporting documents and monitoring activities associated with these areas. The Associate will work closely with the Corruption and Economic Crimes Area to contribute to the implementation of programs and projects aimed at strengthening the prevention of ML, TF, and PF. This includes generating knowledge, enhancing capacities, and fostering collaboration with relevant stakeholders in both public and private sectors. The position is crucial for ensuring that initiatives are effectively executed and that best practices are documented and shared.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Associate will be responsible for supporting the collection, organization, and verification of information related to ML, TF, and PF. This includes consolidating technical inputs and documentation that contribute to the implementation of programs and projects. The Associate will assist in monitoring and following up on assigned programs and projects, ensuring that activities align with organizational goals. Key responsibilities include:
Supporting the collection and organization of relevant information for technical inputs.
Assisting in the development and dissemination of practical tools aimed at preventing ML, TF, and PF in the business sector.
Collaborating with stakeholders to strengthen capacities and promote best practices.
Preparing reports and documentation to support project activities.
Engaging with public and private actors to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Performing other related duties as required by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a secondary education (or equivalent) with at least 6 years of relevant experience. A university degree in Law, Political Science, Economics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Public Accounting, or related fields is desirable, along with 2 years of relevant experience. Candidates should demonstrate a strong understanding of risk management systems related to ML in the private sector and have experience in designing and implementing training sessions on ML/TF/PF risk management for public or private entities. Knowledge of global and national regulatory frameworks for ML/TF/PF prevention is also essential.
Educational Background: The educational requirements for this position include a minimum of secondary education (or equivalent) with significant relevant experience. A university degree in a related field such as Law, Political Science, Economics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or Public Accounting is preferred. Candidates with a higher level of education and relevant experience will be given priority.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in supporting the implementation, monitoring, or strengthening of risk management systems related to ML in the private sector. Experience in designing and conducting training sessions on ML/TF/PF risk management for public or private entities is desirable. Candidates should also have a solid understanding of the global and national regulatory frameworks pertaining to ML/TF/PF prevention.
