Job Overview:
The E T Consultant – Agile Coach position at the World Bank involves a critical role in enhancing the organization's IT transformation efforts. The consultant will work within the Information and Technology Solutions (ITS) Vice Presidential Unit, which is dedicated to delivering transformative information and technologies to support the World Bank's mission. The role focuses on enabling Agile methodologies across teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring effective collaboration and accountability within the organization. The consultant will be responsible for coaching teams in Agile practices, facilitating workshops, and supporting the establishment of effective workflows and delivery outcomes. This position is essential for driving the World Bank's IT modernization efforts and ensuring that the organization can adapt to evolving challenges while maintaining high standards of performance and governance.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the E T Consultant – Agile Coach include: A. Agile Ways of Working Enablement & Delivery Coaching: Coaching teams and leaders in adopting Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban, facilitating workshops to clarify goals and improve collaboration, supporting effective backlog management, identifying delivery bottlenecks, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. B. Team Formation, Collaboration & Ownership Clarity: Assisting teams in defining roles and responsibilities, enhancing collaboration across functions, facilitating structured conversations for alignment, and proposing improvements to organizational structures that hinder teamwork. C. Execution Visibility, Flow & Tooling Practices: Supporting teams in using enterprise delivery tools like Azure DevOps, encouraging consistent practices for backlog management, helping teams interpret delivery metrics, and providing insights to leadership on delivery patterns. D. Leadership Enablement & Continuous Improvement: Partnering with leaders to strengthen understanding of Agile principles, facilitating retrospectives and learning sessions, and providing guidance on adapting Agile practices to specific contexts. E. Stakeholder Engagement & Executive Communication: Engaging with stakeholders to build understanding of Agile practices, communicating with executive leadership about the benefits of Agile, translating Agile frameworks into clear narratives, and fostering open dialogue with stakeholders to align expectations.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires a Master's degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 12 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates should have experience in supporting IT operating model changes, transformation enablement, and organizational change. Proficiency in using delivery and planning tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira is essential. Additionally, candidates should possess Agile coaching certifications such as SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM), or similar certifications in Scrum, Kanban, or enterprise Agile coaching. Knowledge of Design Thinking, Human-Centered Design, and change enablement certifications like Prosci Certified Change Practitioner (PCCP) is also beneficial.

Educational Background:
Candidates must have a Master's degree or a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Advanced degrees or certifications in Agile methodologies, project management, or organizational change management are highly desirable and will enhance a candidate's qualifications for this role.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have a significant level of experience, typically requiring at least 10 years for those with a Master's degree or 12 years for those with a Bachelor's degree. This experience should include a strong background in IT transformation, Agile coaching, and organizational change management. Familiarity with enterprise delivery tools and a proven track record of successfully implementing Agile practices in complex environments are crucial for this position.

Languages:
The mandatory language for this position is English. Proficiency in additional languages is not specified as preferred, but knowledge of other languages may be beneficial in a diverse workplace.
