Job Overview:
The position of UNESCO Consultant - Digital Arts Expert involves designing and delivering a targeted digital skills workshop aimed at enhancing Digital Arts Literacy and Entrepreneurship for Creative Professionals in Arts in Pakistan. This role is crucial in addressing the gaps in the digital skills of creative professionals, particularly in the visual and digital arts sectors. The consultant will be responsible for creating a workshop that is hands-on and accessible, catering to participants with varying levels of digital literacy. The workshop will cover essential skills such as digital production workflows, the use of digital art tools, online platforms for showcasing work, and the basics of building a digital presence. The consultant will also ensure that the workshop promotes inclusivity, targeting youth and women, and will be expected to deliver a comprehensive curriculum that aligns with UNESCO's mission to support cultural and creative industries in their digital transformation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will undertake several key tasks, including designing a two-module digital arts workshop curriculum, mobilizing qualified trainers, ensuring inclusive outreach and recruitment of participants, coordinating logistics for the workshop, and delivering the workshop in an interactive format. The first module will focus on digital visual arts production, introducing participants to various digital art tools and techniques. The second module will cover online distribution, branding, and the digital creative business landscape. The consultant will also be responsible for collecting participant data, administering assessments, and submitting a final report to UNESCO detailing the workshop's outcomes and recommendations for future actions.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Digital Arts or a related field within Cultural and Creative Industries. They should have at least five years of proven experience in digital arts, digital production, or digital skills training for creative professionals. Strong communication, analytical, and report-writing skills are essential, along with proficiency in MS Office applications. The ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a multicultural environment is also required.

Educational Background:
A Master’s degree in Digital Arts or a closely related field is required for this position. This educational background ensures that the consultant has the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to effectively design and deliver the workshop.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of five years of relevant experience in the digital arts sector, particularly in digital production or training. This experience should demonstrate the candidate's ability to engage with creative professionals and deliver effective training programs that enhance digital skills.

Languages:
Fluency in both English and Urdu is mandatory for this position, as the workshop will be conducted primarily in these languages. Additionally, experience in collaborating with international organizations in the cultural sector is desirable, along with a sensitivity to gender and inclusivity in outreach and facilitation.

Additional Notes:
The contract duration for this consultancy is approximately three months, from September to November/December 2026, starting from the signing of the contract. The position is open to external candidates, and the consultant will work under the supervision of the Head of the UNESCO Office in Islamabad. The role is designed to be flexible, with the possibility of remote work, and emphasizes the importance of inclusivity in participant selection, aiming for a diverse group that includes youth and women.
