Job Overview:
The Associate Senior Service Management Officer will play a pivotal role in leading the design, strategy, and implementation of Agentic AI and Hyperautomation solutions within the World Bank Group. This position is crucial as the organization accelerates its use of artificial intelligence and automation to enhance operational efficiency and improve service delivery. The successful candidate will work closely with various teams, including business, product, architecture, engineering, and platform teams, to identify opportunities for operational efficiency and digital transformation through AI-powered automation. The role requires a blend of technology expertise, strategic thinking, and stakeholder engagement, with a focus on translating emerging capabilities into measurable business outcomes. The candidate will also influence strategic direction, shape technology and investment decisions, and foster enterprise adoption across a portfolio of AI and automation initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership & Portfolio Management: Serve as a strategic advisor on Agentic AI and Hyperautomation opportunities, shaping priorities and investment decisions, and developing business cases to support decision-making.
• AI Orchestration & Hyperautomation Enablement: Promote a cohesive approach to Agentic AI across platforms, partner with teams to develop scalable capabilities, and influence the design of solutions that improve business outcomes.
• Governance, Risk & Responsible AI: Support the development of governance frameworks for Agentic AI, ensuring alignment with institutional policies and promoting responsible AI practices.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Organizational Influence: Build relationships across ITS and business stakeholders, communicate opportunities and risks to senior leaders, and champion AI-enabled transformation.
• Innovation, Platform & Vendor Strategy: Lead assessments of emerging technologies, provide recommendations on platform capabilities, and engage with vendors to understand innovation trends.
• Delivery Oversight & Value Realization: Provide oversight across AI and automation initiatives, establish measures to track adoption and business value, and support successful implementation by managing dependencies and promoting sustainable models.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline, with a minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. Candidates should have demonstrated experience leading enterprise AI, intelligent automation, or digital transformation initiatives, along with a strong understanding of Agentic AI, Generative AI, and enterprise technology ecosystems. Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and engage with senior leadership is essential, as well as familiarity with enterprise architecture, governance, and responsible AI principles.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess a Master's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, or Business Administration. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree with significant professional experience is acceptable. The educational background should reflect a strong foundation in technology and management principles relevant to the role.

Experience:
The role requires a minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience for candidates with a Master's degree, or 10 years for those with a Bachelor's degree. Candidates should have substantial experience in leading or advising on enterprise AI, intelligent automation, and digital transformation initiatives, as well as experience in developing technology strategies and operating models within complex organizations.

Languages:
The mandatory language for this position is English. While no additional languages are specified as preferred, proficiency in other languages may be beneficial in a multicultural environment.
