The organization emphasizes the importance of training materials in disaster risk reduction (DRR) and anticipatory action (AA), as well as the dissemination of climate change information within the agricultural sector.

Job Overview:
The National Communication Videographer/Producer will play a crucial role in documenting the FAO's interventions and best practices related to drought anticipatory actions. This position requires the individual to travel with FAO staff to various locations, capturing footage and photographs that highlight the organization's efforts in enhancing resilience among beneficiaries. The videographer will focus on documenting training and capacity-building initiatives that contribute to the overall strategic objective of increasing livelihoods' resilience to shocks through early warning and anticipatory actions. The role involves collaboration with the Office of Communications (OCC) and requires adherence to FAO's production standards and guidelines.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The incumbent will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including: documenting FAO's work through film and photographs, capturing footage that showcases progress in drought anticipatory actions, traveling to selected municipalities to cover activities and interviews with beneficiaries, saving and submitting high-resolution raw footage, presenting outputs to key FAO personnel, translating subtitles for videos, and ensuring compliance with local customs and privacy standards. The videographer will also liaise with the OCC for distribution and publication of video products, ensuring that all materials meet FAO's quality standards and guidelines.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a diploma, certificate, or higher qualification in videography, photography, film production, media production, communications, journalism, multimedia, visual arts, or a related field. Additionally, a minimum of three years of relevant experience in videography, photography, video production, and/or post-production is required. Candidates should also have a working knowledge of English and Tetun, and must be nationals of Timor-Leste or residents with a valid work permit.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a diploma, certificate, or higher qualification in fields related to videography, photography, film production, media production, communications, journalism, multimedia, visual arts, or similar disciplines. This educational foundation is essential for understanding the technical and creative aspects of video production and communication.

Experience:
The position requires at least three years of relevant experience in videography, photography, video production, and/or post-production. This experience should demonstrate the candidate's ability to produce high-quality visual content and effectively communicate through various media formats. Familiarity with the local context and customs of Timor-Leste is also advantageous.

Languages:
A working knowledge (C1) of English and Tetun is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in these languages is essential for effective communication and documentation of FAO's work and interactions with beneficiaries.
