Job Overview: The Donor Services Assistant plays a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing relationships with donors, serving as a primary point of contact for inquiries and support. This position involves addressing donor questions, resolving issues, and facilitating donations. Additionally, the assistant will contribute to the development of communication materials aimed at informing donors about MSF's programs and policies. Duties and Responsibilities: The Donor Services Assistant will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: answering calls, emails, and mail inquiries from donors and prospective donors; managing donor relationships to build trust and loyalty; updating donors on MSF activities; designing and implementing donor engagement strategies; securing sustainable resources for fundraising efforts; managing data within the donor management system; producing and updating departmental documents and databases; and collaborating with internal teams to ensure high-quality service delivery. The assistant will also be expected to adapt to changing circumstances and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the donor services team.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for the Donor Services Assistant position should possess strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, and demonstrate a keen attention to detail. A minimum of two years of administrative experience, preferably in a customer service or non-profit environment, is required. The ideal candidate will have proven administrative skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and a commitment to MSF's mission and values. Familiarity with donor management systems and fundraising strategies is a plus, as is the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required for this position. Languages: While English is the mandatory language for this position, proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset, particularly if they align with MSF's operational regions. Additional Notes: This is a temporary position with no supervisory responsibilities. The role is compensated on an hourly basis, structured around a 35-hour work week, with a salary range of $53,702 to $80,554, depending on relevant experience and skills.
