Job Overview:
The Systems Analyst, Development Operations, plays a crucial role in advising stakeholders and driving continuous improvement across various fundraising systems, integrations, and project management software. This position is responsible for leading discovery and solutioning sessions that translate business needs into clear technical specifications, which include data mapping, transformation, validation rules, and exception handling. The analyst will design and implement solutions for system changes and integrations, particularly utilizing tools such as MuleSoft AnyPoint and Form Assembly-to-CRM workflows. Additionally, the role encompasses ownership of the Jira service management operating model, which includes establishing intake standards, prioritization, SLAs, reporting, and backlog governance. The Systems Analyst will also conduct trend and root-cause analysis to identify systemic issues and facilitate cross-functional remediation efforts. This position requires a high level of collaboration and is ideal for someone who is organized, tech-savvy, and engaged in software development within a nonprofit context.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead discovery and solutioning sessions to translate business needs into clear technical specifications, including data mapping and transformation, validation rules, and exception handling.
• Advise stakeholders on fundraising system capabilities and develop recommendations for system changes and integrations.
• Design and implement solutions for system changes and integrations across fundraising systems, project management software, and middleware platforms.
• Apply trend and root-cause analysis to surface systemic issues and drive cross-functional remediation.
• Design and execute Quality Assurance and User Acceptance Testing for fundraising systems and integrations, establishing UAT scenarios and acceptance criteria.
• Own the Jira service management operating model, including intake standards, prioritization, SLAs, reporting, and backlog governance.
• Govern system access, audit readiness, documentation standards, and knowledge base management.
• Oversee day-to-day administration, including access provisioning, documentation maintenance, and license oversight.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and implementation of improved processes.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and 5 to 7 years of experience working with technology projects and platforms, ideally in a nonprofit fundraising setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven experience leading discovery and solutioning sessions and translating business needs into technical specifications.
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing system integrations, including middleware platforms such as MuleSoft and CRM workflow tools like Form Assembly.
• Experience in designing and executing Quality Assurance and User Acceptance Testing during software development.
• Familiarity with owning a service management operating model, including intake, prioritization, SLAs, and backlog governance.
• Proficiency in using Jira Service Management or other ticketing systems.
• Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems.
• Knowledge of system access provisioning, audit readiness, and documentation governance.
• Proficient in the Office 365 suite, including Excel and SharePoint. 1

Educational Background:

Compensation for this position ranges from $78,399 to $117,599, in alignment with MSF USA’s compensation framework, with new hires typically offered a salary between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on relevant experience, skills, and internal equity.
