Job Overview:
The Water and Environment coordinator" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Technical Coordinator will play a crucial role in the project 'Sejnane in Action: Citizens and Municipality Together for Clean Water and Zero Waste.' This position involves working closely with the municipality of Sejnane and various stakeholders to identify and implement sustainable technical solutions, particularly rainwater harvesting systems. The coordinator will be responsible for providing technical design and planning support, implementation guidance, and capacity building for local stakeholders. The role requires a proactive approach to addressing the challenges posed by climate variability and water scarcity in the region, ensuring that the implemented solutions are effective and sustainable.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree (master’s or equivalent) in engineering, environment, or a related field. Alternatively, a first-level university degree combined with two additional years of relevant experience may be accepted. A minimum of two years of progressive experience in water management and environmental fields is required. Familiarity with Japanese technologies for rainwater harvesting is considered an asset, as is experience in designing and implementing decentralized rainwater harvesting systems at the community level. Demonstrated experience in providing technical guidance throughout various project phases is desirable.
Educational Background:
The position requires an advanced university degree in engineering, environment, or a related field. Candidates with a first-level university degree and additional relevant experience may also be considered. This educational background is essential for understanding the technical aspects of water management and environmental sustainability.
Experience:
A minimum of two years of progressive experience in the field of water management and environment is required. Candidates should have experience in the design, technical specification, and implementation support of rainwater harvesting systems, particularly at the community level. Experience in providing practical technical guidance across multiple project phases is also desirable.
Languages:
Fluency in spoken and written English is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of Japanese is considered a desirable asset, enhancing communication and collaboration with stakeholders familiar with Japanese technologies.

- Knowledge Contribution and Reporting Support: Contributing to project reports, sharing lessons learned, and providing insights on system performance and operational challenges.
