Job Overview: The Associate Management and Programme Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the development, implementation, and evaluation of assigned programmes and projects, particularly focusing on the deployment and utilization of the Umoja ERP system in field offices. This position requires a proactive approach to monitor and analyze programme/project development, identify issues, and propose corrective actions. The analyst will also be responsible for developing communication strategies to support field offices, utilizing analytical tools to monitor performance and compliance. The role involves conducting quality assurance reviews, providing strategic analysis, and assisting in policy development. The analyst will engage in research, data collection, and outreach activities, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the OHCHR's initiatives in the region. Duties and Responsibilities: The Associate Management and Programme Analyst will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including:
Participating in the development, implementation, and evaluation of assigned programmes/projects, particularly focusing on the Umoja ERP system.
Monitoring and analyzing programme/project development and implementation, identifying problems, and proposing corrective actions.
Supporting the development and implementation of communication strategies and plans for field offices.
Assisting in quality assurance reviews of administrative services and drafting related reports.
Conducting strategic analysis reflecting programme performance and assisting with consulting assignments.
Researching, analyzing, and presenting information from diverse sources.
Proposing innovative ways to present information and assisting in policy development.
Designing data collection tools and analyzing survey responses.
Preparing various written outputs, including reports and publications. 1
Providing substantive support to meetings and conferences, including preparing documents and presentations. 1
Conducting training workshops and outreach activities. 1
Coordinating activities related to budget and funding, including progress reports and financial statements. 1

Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess an advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in business administration, public administration, management, or a related field. Alternatively, a first-level university degree (Bachelor's degree or equivalent) combined with two additional years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree. The position requires a strong understanding of project or programme management, communications, administration, and business process management, particularly in the context of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Candidates should demonstrate professionalism, effective communication skills, and a client-oriented approach in their work.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes an advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in a relevant field such as business administration, public administration, or management. Experience: A minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in project or programme management, communications, administration, or related areas is required. Candidates with no prior experience may be considered if they have successfully passed the United Nations Young Professionals Programme Examination (YPP) or the G to P Examination. Experience in supporting the implementation and utilization of SAP-based ERP systems is essential, along with experience in planning and delivering training sessions or workshops. Desirable experience includes identifying and resolving operational issues, utilizing data analytics tools, and supporting ERP governance activities.
Languages: English is required for this position, with a minimum proficiency level of UN Level III in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. French is also a working language of the United Nations, and proficiency in French may be considered an asset. Candidates should demonstrate effective communication skills in both languages, particularly in a professional context.
Additional Notes: This position is temporarily available for three months, with the possibility of extension subject to the availability of funds.
