Job Overview:
The internship-position" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">internship position within the Field Operations Section (FOS) of ICAO’s Capacity Development and Implementation Bureau (CDI) is designed to provide practical experience in the field of civil aviation. The intern will be involved in various aspects of project management, including the development, execution, monitoring, and reporting of projects under the Capacity Development and Implementation Programme (CDIP). The role emphasizes the importance of supporting ICAO's strategic goals related to safety, air navigation, security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security, economic development, and environmental protection. Interns will gain insights into the operational aspects of international civil aviation and contribute to the organization's mission of enhancing global aviation standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will be responsible for a variety of tasks under the supervision of the Chief of the Field Operations Section. Key responsibilities include populating and maintaining FOS document repositories, reporting tools, and project management tools to facilitate the work of the section. The intern will assist in preparing financial forecasts, reporting requirements, and correspondence related to new and ongoing projects. Additionally, the intern will help organize the CDI booth at conferences, manage resources, and assist in preparing marketing or promotional materials. Other related duties may be assigned as necessary, providing a comprehensive experience in project support and management.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have completed or be currently enrolled in a degree program related to civil aviation, management, economics, international relations, engineering, or computer science. This educational background is essential to ensure that the intern has the necessary knowledge and skills to contribute effectively to the projects and tasks assigned within the FOS.

Educational Background:
The educational requirement for this internship is a degree or enrollment in a degree program in fields such as civil aviation, management, economics, international relations, engineering, or computer science. This ensures that candidates possess relevant theoretical knowledge that can be applied in practical settings within the organization.

Experience:
While specific prior experience is not mandatory, candidates should demonstrate a keen interest in civil aviation and project management. Any relevant internships, volunteer work, or academic projects that showcase skills in these areas will be advantageous and may enhance the candidate's application.

Languages:
Fluency in English is essential, with strong reading, writing, and speaking abilities required for effective communication. Additionally, a working knowledge of other languages used by the Organization, such as Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish, is considered desirable and may provide an advantage in the role.

Additional Notes:
The internship is a full-time position lasting six months, during which interns will receive a stipend. However, all costs related to travel, insurance, accommodation, and living expenses must be covered by the intern. Interns are expected to work five days a week and are not permitted to engage in any other form of employment within ICAO during their internship. They are required to carry out their duties with loyalty, discretion, and in accordance with the official instructions issued by the Organization.
