Job Overview:
The Community Mobilization Officer will be instrumental in the development and implementation of stakeholder engagement strategies for the YEEAP II project. This role involves identifying and mapping key stakeholders, fostering partnerships, and establishing mechanisms for ongoing consultation and feedback. The officer will support communication efforts by creating content for various platforms, organizing events, and contributing to program materials. Additionally, the role includes supporting knowledge sharing and providing analytical support for project development, all aimed at advancing the goals of the YEEAP II project.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Community Outreach, Energy Advocacy, and Local Partnerships: Engage with rural and peri-urban communities, youth, health facility administrators, and local shopkeepers to promote solar energy solutions. Maintain communication with community leaders to build trust and ensure project access. Establish feedback mechanisms to ensure project responsiveness to stakeholder needs. Organize gender-sensitive consultations to include marginalized groups. Collect community feedback on solar equipment performance and technical support needs. Coordinate with local authorities and relevant institutions in the solar energy value chain.
• Strategic Stakeholder Management & Mapping: Identify and map key stakeholders, including government ministries, NGOs, and private sector partners. Develop and implement a comprehensive Stakeholder Engagement Plan that aligns with international standards. Document strategic partnerships aimed at scaling solar microgrids and household solar kits. Prepare program concept notes and presentation materials using data-driven insights.
• Events, Visibility, and Knowledge Management: Design and implement awareness campaigns about renewable energy benefits. Organize events, webinars, and workshops, preparing inputs for high-level forums. Document lessons learned from field implementations and share data globally. Collaborate with communication teams for social media and website updates related to YEEAP II milestones.
• Operational, Logistical, and Compliance Support: Coordinate logistical arrangements for training and workshops, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Maintain organized records of stakeholder interactions and ensure transparency. Support operational aspects of community activities, including procurement for awareness events and tracking expenditures.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in energy, engineering, law, political sciences, economics, communication, business administration, or a related field. A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in community and stakeholder engagement, partnerships development, or related fields is required. Proficiency in collaboration and productivity tools (e.g., MS Office, G-Suite) and web-based management systems is essential. Strong knowledge of the Yemen context is necessary, along with experience in multicultural environments or UN system organizations in developing countries. Excellent communication skills and experience in organizing events are desired.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as energy, engineering, law, political sciences, economics, communication, or business administration is required. This educational background should be complemented by a minimum of two years of relevant professional experience, which is crucial for effectively fulfilling the responsibilities of the Community Mobilization Officer role.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of two years of progressive professional experience in community and stakeholder engagement, partnerships development, or related fields. Experience in using collaboration and productivity tools, as well as a strong understanding of the Yemen context, is essential. Desired experience includes working in multicultural environments or UN system organizations in developing countries, demonstrating the ability to engage effectively with colleagues at all levels and communicate with diverse communities. Experience in organizing webinars, events, workshops, or meetings is also beneficial.

Languages:
Fluency in English and Arabic is required for this position. Proficiency in both languages is essential for effective communication and engagement with stakeholders and community members.
