Job Overview:
The Associate Digital Specialist will play a crucial role in implementing the EBRD's Digital Approach, which aims to finance the digital transformation of clients, enhance awareness of digital trends, and establish robust digital governance practices. This position involves designing and deploying innovative digital products tailored for partner financial institutions, supporting product development, tracking digital investments, and facilitating knowledge sharing. The Associate will contribute to the strategic enabler of the Bank's transition mandate under the medium-term Strategy (Strategic and Capital Framework 2026-2030) by operationalizing the Digital Approach and engaging with corporate clients in their digital transformation journeys. The role requires a proactive approach to knowledge development and sharing, ensuring that the EBRD's workforce is well-informed about the digital product range and its applications.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Associate Digital Specialist will be responsible for leading the design, deployment, and delivery of cyber-resilient digital transformation assignments aimed at EBRD’s partner financial institutions and their clients. This includes supporting the Principal II – Financial Institutions in developing a digital transformation portfolio and policy engagements. The Associate will conceptualize, pilot, and develop additional digital products based on market needs, advise banking teams on expanding technology-based financial investments, and maintain an overview of Bank-wide activities to ensure consistency in approach and impact. Collaboration with various departments is essential to deliver the best value proposition to EBRD clients. Additionally, the Associate will feed findings into knowledge-sharing events, keep abreast of industry developments, and work closely with relevant departments to identify barriers to digital transformation in the financial sector.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related fields. A strong understanding of the digital landscape, including barriers and enablers of digitalization for financial institutions, is essential. Candidates should demonstrate quantitative skills necessary for data analysis and possess a solid understanding of the EBRD’s business model. A proven track record in developing new business and identifying customer needs is required, along with proficiency in managing complex project cycles. Strong strategic thinking abilities and a good understanding of economics and banking issues relevant to the EBRD region are also necessary. The ideal candidate should be a team player with a strong work ethic, adaptable, and able to perform under pressure.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or Mathematics is required. Advanced degrees or certifications in related areas may be advantageous but are not mandatory. Candidates should have a solid foundation in digital processes and financial systems to effectively contribute to the EBRD's digital transformation initiatives.

Experience:
The position requires candidates to have relevant experience in digital transformation, project management, or related fields. A proven history of developing business solutions and managing projects from inception to completion is essential. Candidates should have experience working in diverse teams and environments, particularly in international or multilateral settings, to effectively engage with colleagues and clients from various backgrounds.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, as it is the working language of the EBRD. Proficiency in additional languages relevant to the EBRD's regions of operation is considered an asset, enhancing communication with a broader range of stakeholders.
