Job Overview:
The analyst" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Assistant Analyst position within the Data, Analytics and Strategy (DAS) Team is crucial for the effective management and integration of portfolio client data into the Bank's Data Warehouse (DWH). This role involves digitizing, reconciling, and integrating various financial data, which is essential for producing standardized financial reports that aid in risk monitoring and portfolio analytics. The Assistant Analyst will be responsible for tasks assigned by supervisors or senior team members, ensuring that data is accurate and useful for decision-making processes. The role also emphasizes the importance of training to build foundational knowledge in accounting, banking, and investment operations, which are vital for the successful execution of the job responsibilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Assistant Analyst will engage in various data management tasks, including the input, validation, and reconciliation of client financial data. This involves ensuring that data is clean and correct, conducting peer reviews, and resolving inconsistencies to create a reliable source of data. The role also includes generating summary reports that highlight potential concerns and macro-economic impacts, as well as flagging any data management breaches. The Assistant Analyst will contribute to the aggregation and analysis of self-evaluation data, disseminating key findings for the Impact Report. Additionally, after an initial training period, the Assistant Analyst will mentor new hires, support them in data management tasks, and work on enhancing data processes. Effective communication is essential, as the Assistant Analyst will collaborate with various teams, including Portfolio Managers and Credit Officers, to ensure seamless project monitoring and reporting.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree in finance, economics, business, mathematics, econometrics, computer science, or a related field from a reputable university. Strong quantitative and numerical skills are essential, along with the ability to interpret financial information and understand financial accounts. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications, particularly Excel, is required, and knowledge of SQL for data manipulation and validation is highly desirable. Familiarity with reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI is also appreciated. Candidates should have excellent written and oral communication skills in English, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences. Knowledge of additional languages relevant to the Bank's operations is considered a strong advantage.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as finance, economics, business, mathematics, econometrics, or computer science is required. Candidates should have a strong academic background from a leading university, which demonstrates their capability in handling quantitative and analytical tasks effectively.

Experience:
The position requires candidates to have a foundational understanding of accounting, banking, and investment operations. While specific prior experience may not be mandatory, familiarity with financial systems, data analysis, and reporting processes will be beneficial. The ability to learn quickly and adapt to a remote working environment is essential, as the role may involve independent work as well as collaboration with team members.

Languages:

This position is a short-term contract lasting 12 months. The EBRD promotes a flexible working environment, expecting employees to work in the office 50% of the time.
