Job Overview:
The Grants & Partnerships Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective management of grants from inception to final reporting. This position requires compliance with donor regulations and the fostering of a robust network with donors. The coordinator will be responsible for enhancing donor mapping and developing strategic opportunities for partnerships. • The coordinator will need to navigate the complexities of resource mobilization, particularly in light of the anticipated decrease in humanitarian funding and the increasing interest from development donors. The role is pivotal in steering the partnership strategy and facilitating the development of key proposals to align with the mission's strategic goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the Grants & Partnerships Coordinator include: 1) Managing the entire grants lifecycle, ensuring compliance with donor regulations and timely reporting. 2) Developing and implementing a partnership strategy that enhances collaboration with national and international NGOs. 3) Mapping potential donors and developing plans to engage them effectively. 4) Leading the development of concept notes and proposals for new grants, particularly focusing on development donors. 5) Establishing and maintaining relationships with existing and potential donors, ensuring effective communication and representation. 6) Working closely with the mission team to identify funding opportunities and align them with the mission's objectives. 7) Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of grants and partnerships, making recommendations for improvements. 8) Contributing to the overall strategic planning of the mission, particularly in relation to resource mobilization and sustainability.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a relevant field. A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in the humanitarian sector is required, with 0-2 years in a similar position. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in grant management and compliance, particularly with institutional donors, as well as experience in business development and lobbying. Skills in partnership mapping and development are essential, along with advanced communication skills and the ability to manage conflicting priorities in a challenging environment.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a relevant field is mandatory for this position. The educational background should ideally be complemented by specialized training or certifications related to grants management, partnership development, or humanitarian assistance.

Experience:
The position requires 3-4 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, with at least 0-2 years in a role focused on grants and partnerships. Experience in business development, donor relations, and compliance with institutional donor regulations is highly valued. Candidates should demonstrate a proven track record in managing grants and developing partnerships within the humanitarian context.

Languages:
Fluency in written and oral English is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in Arabic is considered an asset, while knowledge of French is also advantageous. The ability to communicate effectively in these languages is crucial for engaging with diverse stakeholders and partners.

Additional Notes:
This is a salaried position with a starting salary of EUR 2860 gross per month, which includes a base salary of EUR 2600 and a 10% annual leave allowance paid monthly. Additionally, a monthly Per Diem of USD 750 is provided. The organization covers accommodation costs and travel expenses between the expatriate's country of origin and the place of assignment. The contract duration is for 6 months, with the possibility of extension. During the assignment, a system of alternating work and time off is implemented, allowing for breaks every two months, along with an additional rest day for each month worked. Expatriates are provided with a comprehensive insurance package covering healthcare expenses, including medical, surgical, dental, and repatriation costs.
