Job Overview:
The position of Nature for Health Systems Approach Facilitator and Project Development is crucial for leading the systemic approach facilitation of the scoping phase of the Nature for Health Fund (N4H) in Kenya. This role involves establishing a sustainable, locally relevant project by fostering collaboration among various stakeholders within the N4H scene. The consultant will facilitate the development of a common understanding and commitment among stakeholders, resulting in an Implementation Project Document that outlines the project’s objectives and strategies. The consultant will engage with stakeholders to strengthen the environmental and preventive aspects of One Health, aiming to improve the understanding of the links between human, animal, and ecosystem health. The position is part-time and expected to last for 9 months, focusing on the initial scoping phase of the project, which is part of a larger global initiative aimed at reducing health risks through environmental determinants.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will be responsible for a variety of duties, including:

• Developing a shared understanding of N4H objectives among stakeholders through discussions and workshops.
• Designing and facilitating workshops to assess the One Health situation in Kenya and co-design the Implementation Phase project document.
• Facilitating the collaborative building of the N4H partnership in Kenya, including arranging meetings and guiding stakeholders in the systems process.
• Developing content towards the Implementation Phase in conjunction with the Core Team and project manager, ensuring that the system thinking approach is integrated into the project documents. The consultant will also manage workshop dynamics, gather feedback, and prepare reports reflecting discussions to inform the development of the Implementation Project Document.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree (MSc level or higher) in social, ecological, behavioral, or management sciences. Professional qualifications in coaching or facilitation and systems thinking are desired. A first-level degree with an additional two years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced degree. A minimum of 7 years of postgraduate work experience in knowledge management, organizational learning, and facilitating partnership building in diverse multi-stakeholder environments is required. Demonstrated experience in facilitation and program management, as well as developing project documents and actionable plans for sustainable development, is essential. Communication and presentation skills, along with familiarity with systems tools, are desirable.

Educational Background:
An advanced university degree (MSc level or higher) in relevant fields such as social, ecological, behavioral, or management sciences is required for this position. Candidates with a first-level degree may be considered if they have additional qualifying experience. Professional qualifications in coaching or facilitation and systems thinking are also preferred, indicating a strong foundation in both theoretical and practical aspects of the role.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 7 years of postgraduate work experience in areas such as knowledge management, organizational learning, and facilitating partnership building in diverse multi-stakeholder environments. Candidates should have demonstrated experience in facilitation, particularly in using system thinking tools and approaches within multi-stakeholder contexts. Languages:
Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory for this position. Additionally, a working knowledge of another UN language is considered an advantage, which may enhance communication and collaboration with diverse stakeholders involved in the project.
