Job Overview: The Radiographer position is crucial for facilitating the achievement of medical objectives aimed at reducing morbidity and mortality among refugee populations in Maban County. The role involves providing emergency healthcare services, operating imaging equipment, and ensuring patient comfort and safety during procedures. The Radiographer will collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results and follow strict radiation safety protocols. This position requires a proactive approach to patient care, as well as a commitment to continuous education and training in radiologic technology. The Radiographer will also be involved in capacity building, supervision of clinical staff, and management of health information systems, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the healthcare services provided.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Radiographer will be responsible for operating imaging equipment such as X-ray machines, MRI scanners, and CT scanners. Key duties include preparing patients for imaging procedures, explaining the process, and addressing any questions they may have. The Radiographer must position patients correctly to obtain necessary images while ensuring their comfort and safety. Maintenance and calibration of imaging equipment are essential to ensure optimal operation and image quality. Collaboration with radiologists and other healthcare professionals is necessary to interpret imaging results accurately.
