Job Overview: The consultant will play a pivotal role in leading and implementing various projects aimed at enhancing digital connectivity and public service in the Asia-Pacific region. The projects include 'Clean Air for Sustainable ASEAN (CASA)', 'Advancing the cross-border data sharing platform in pilot countries', and 'Implementing the Action Plan 2022-2026 of the Asia-Pacific Information Superhighway'. The consultant will be responsible for overseeing training programs, drafting analytical reports, and analyzing trends in AI and network infrastructure. This position requires collaboration with various stakeholders and the ability to adapt to rapidly changing digital environments.
Duties and Responsibilities: The consultant's duties will include leading the implementation of project activities, supervising training programs, drafting and delivering analytical reports, analyzing AI trends, assisting with various activities within the Information and Communications Technology and Disaster Risk Reduction Division (IDD), and coordinating the implementation of the KFCC-funded project. Specific tasks involve preparing Memoranda of Agreement (MoAs), coordinating with project partners, and organizing meetings and workshops related to the projects. The consultant will also contribute to the IDD flagship report titled 'Asia Pacific Digital Transformation Report: Convergence of AI and Digital Infrastructure'.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Master's degree in ICT, economics, development, public policy, or social science. Additionally, they should have 5-7 years of relevant work experience in ICT within the Asia region. Strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders are essential for this role.
Educational Background: A Master's degree in a relevant field such as Information and Communications Technology (ICT), economics, development, public policy, or social science is required. This educational background will provide the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge to effectively contribute to the projects and initiatives led by ESCAP.
