Job Overview: The internship-position" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">internship position is situated within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Section of the Programme Support and Management Service (PSMS) at the Regional Hub for Asia & the Pacific (RHAP) of the OHCHR. The intern will be under the supervision of the ERP Team and will have the opportunity to collaborate with internal clients and counterparts across both headquarters and field operations. This role offers a unique exposure to digital transformation initiatives and enterprise systems that are crucial for the effective delivery of OHCHR's human rights mandate on a global scale. The intern will play a vital role in supporting the ERP Section by contributing to various administrative coordination tasks, data management efforts, and stakeholder communication related to ERP-enabled business processes. This internship is designed to provide practical learning experiences at the intersection of digital transformation, enterprise resource planning, and operational support for human rights programs, allowing the intern to gain valuable insights and skills in these areas.
Duties and Responsibilities: The intern will undertake a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to: providing administrative and operational support for ERP initiatives, responding to routine requests for information from internal stakeholders, maintaining organized filing and tracking systems, and supporting document archiving in accordance with established procedures. The intern will also review and verify documentation for accuracy and completeness, ensuring proper classification and storage of documents. Additionally, the intern will draft routine correspondence, liaise with other sections to gather information, take minutes during meetings, and summarize key decisions and actions. In terms of data management, the intern will maintain dashboards, compile information for periodic reports, and update content on the ERPMS intranet page. Other responsibilities may include assisting in building and maintaining Power Apps applications, supporting data entry and management within Dataverse, configuring forms and views, and collaborating with the team to test app functionality and data workflows. The intern will also learn and apply best practices for data modeling and app development within the Microsoft Power Platform.
Required Qualifications: To qualify for this internship, applicants must meet one of the following criteria: they must be enrolled in or have completed a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent, or higher), or they must be enrolled in or have completed the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum bachelor's level or equivalent). While no prior professional work experience is required, familiarity with data management, process analysis, administrative support, or information systems is considered an asset. Applicants should demonstrate strong organizational and time-management skills, a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, and effective written and verbal communication abilities. The ability to work independently while contributing positively within a team environment is also desirable.
