Job Overview:
The position of Individual Consultant focuses on supporting the planning, implementation, monitoring, and coordination of UNESCO Bangkok's Education for Health and Well-being (EHWB) programme. This programme is guided by the UNESCO Strategy on Education for Health and Well-being (2022–2029) and aims to promote a comprehensive approach to school health and well-being. The consultant will work on various initiatives related to comprehensive sexuality education (CSE), school-related gender-based violence (SRGBV), and the promotion of safe and inclusive learning environments. The consultant will be involved in the inception phase of a new multi-country project aimed at strengthening education systems and teacher education while fostering healthy, safe, and inclusive learning environments for adolescents and youth. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including education ministries, partners, and field offices, to ensure effective implementation of the programme's objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Individual Specialist will perform a range of duties under the supervision of the Regional Director and Chief of Education. Key responsibilities include providing project management support for the inception phase of a multi-country project, coordinating project activities at both regional and country levels, facilitating stakeholder engagement, and ensuring alignment with national priorities. The consultant will also be responsible for monitoring project progress, preparing reports, and contributing to knowledge management. Specific tasks include coordinating project inception activities, supporting baseline data collection, promoting youth participation, and providing technical oversight for pilot-testing activities related to gender-responsive pedagogy integration in teacher education curricula. The consultant will also contribute to the development of project concept notes and resource mobilization efforts.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree (Master's degree) in education, social sciences, gender studies, international development, or related fields. A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in project management within education programming is required, with a focus on gender equality, comprehensive sexuality education, or addressing school-related gender-based violence. Additionally, candidates should have at least 1 year of experience working with international organizations or bilateral agencies. Strong technical and analytical skills, proficiency in project design and planning, and exceptional communication abilities are essential. Candidates should also demonstrate cultural sensitivity and awareness of gender equality issues in the education sector.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes an advanced university degree (Master's degree) in relevant fields such as education, social sciences, gender studies, or international development. Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in project management, particularly in education programming. Languages:

Compensation and benefits will be in accordance with UNESCO's rules and regulations, and the consultant will receive a daily subsistence allowance (DSA) for travel-related expenses.
