Job Overview:

The position requires a comprehensive understanding of the operational environment, fleet technology, and processes related to AAM, as well as the ability to analyze and document operational requirements and monitor operator performance.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct technical analyses and studies related to the safe operations of Advanced Air Mobility and the integration of AAM technologies into the aviation ecosystem.
  • Build technical capabilities in Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) within GACA.
  • Develop regulations and procedures, prepare technical recommendations, and obtain the required approvals.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive Concept of Operations (ConOps) for AAM, covering the operational environment, fleet technology, and processes.
  • Analyze and document AAM operational requirements such as autonomous operations, urban overflight, and emergency scenarios.
  • Review and approve AAM operational risk-management procedures (e.g., SORA).
  • Monitor AAM operator performance and provide recommendations to enhance safety levels.
  • Coordinate with training providers to ensure AAM pilot and operator qualification meets GACA Regulations.
  • Support and enable tests and flight trials for AAM systems. 1
  • Perform any additional tasks assigned by direct management related to the nature and scope of the job. 1
  • Prepare reports on time and with the required quality. 1
  • Commit to cybersecurity-related tasks and responsibilities.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering or an equivalent field. Candidates must have a minimum of 12 years of professional experience in the aviation sector, with a strong emphasis on AAM or emerging aviation technologies. Familiarity with ICAO standards and recommended practices related to AAM is desirable. Candidates should demonstrate a high level of professionalism, judgment, decision-making skills, effective communication, teamwork, technological awareness, and a commitment to continuous learning.

Educational Background:
