Job Overview:
As an Associate Full Stack Developer at EBRD, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of the Client-Led Procurement (CLP) platform, which is hosted on Microsoft Azure. This platform is designed to digitize procurement workflows for internal bankers, clients, and external participants through dedicated Angular portals and a microservices backend. Your responsibilities will encompass both frontend and backend development, working within a cross-functional Agile team. You will be involved in the entire software development lifecycle, from feature specification and design to implementation, testing, and deployment on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). This position offers a unique opportunity to work with modern technologies and contribute to a significant project that enhances the efficiency of procurement processes.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Your primary responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and maintaining backend domain microservices using Java 21 and Spring Boot. You will also build and enhance Angular single-page applications for various portals, implement and document RESTful APIs according to OpenAPI/Swagger standards, and contribute to API-first design reviews. Additionally, you will work with Azure data services, write and maintain database migrations, and ensure schema safety across environments. You will be responsible for authoring unit, integration, and contract tests, maintaining coverage gates, and containerizing services with Docker for deployment on AKS. Participation in code reviews, architecture discussions, and threat-modelling sessions will also be part of your role, along with contributing to observability and adhering to EBRD engineering standards.

Required Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you must have a strong proficiency in backend development with Java and Spring Boot, including experience with modern Java features and RESTful API design. You should also have a solid understanding of Angular and TypeScript for frontend development, as well as experience with Microsoft Azure services, Docker, and CI/CD practices. Familiarity with microservices architecture, security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security principles, and Agile methodologies is essential. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are also required.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required for this position. A master's degree or relevant certifications in software development or cloud technologies would be advantageous but not mandatory.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in software development, with a focus on full-stack development. Experience working in Agile teams and familiarity with cloud-based platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure, is highly desirable. Previous experience in financial services or similar sectors would be a plus.

Languages:
Proficiency in English is mandatory, as it is the working language of the EBRD. Knowledge of additional languages, particularly those spoken in the regions where EBRD operates, would be considered an asset but is not required.

This position is a fixed-term contract for a duration of 3 years. The role is full-time and based in Sofia, Bulgaria.
