Job Overview:
The Program Manager (Health and Nutrition) will be responsible for leading Relief International's integrated health and nutrition portfolio in Yemen. This role requires ensuring high-quality, evidence-based programming that effectively responds to humanitarian needs and delivers a lasting impact. The Program Manager will work closely with project teams, government stakeholders, donors, and partners to provide technical and managerial leadership across various aspects of design" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">program design, implementation, quality assurance, capacity strengthening, and resource mobilization. The position involves approximately 25% travel within Yemen to oversee program activities and ensure alignment with organizational goals and standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Program Manager will lead and manage the health and nutrition program portfolio, ensuring quality implementation and achievement of targets while fostering effective team performance. Responsibilities include providing technical leadership across health and nutrition interventions, enhancing service quality, capacity development, and monitoring systems, and ensuring adherence to international standards. The Program Manager will oversee program monitoring, learning, and reporting processes, ensuring evidence-based decision-making and continuous program improvement. Additionally, the role involves supporting program growth through assessments, proposal development, donor engagement, and contributions to fundraising initiatives. Building and maintaining strong relationships with government counterparts, donors, clusters, UN agencies, and other stakeholders is crucial, as is regular travel to program locations within Yemen.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced degree in a health or nutrition-related field, such as Public Health, Medicine, Nursing, or a related discipline. Substantial proven experience in public health and health programming within humanitarian and/or development settings is essential. Demonstrated technical expertise in areas such as primary health care, child health, reproductive health, health systems strengthening, research, or evaluation is required. Strong experience in program management, project design, proposal development, fundraising, monitoring and evaluation, and capacity strengthening is also necessary. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills are critical, along with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and sectors. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment are important attributes for this role.

Educational Background:
An advanced degree in a health or nutrition-related field is required for this position. This could include degrees in Public Health, Medicine, Nursing, or other relevant disciplines that provide the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively manage health and nutrition programs in a humanitarian context.

Experience:
Candidates should have substantial proven experience working in public health and health programming, particularly within humanitarian and/or development settings. This experience should include technical expertise in relevant areas such as primary health care, child health, reproductive health, and health systems strengthening, as well as experience in program management and capacity strengthening.

Languages:
Excellent written and spoken English is essential for this position. Familiarity with additional languages may be beneficial, particularly in the context of working with diverse communities in Yemen. Knowledge of Arabic or other local languages would be considered an asset, enhancing communication with local stakeholders and beneficiaries.
