Job Overview: The OSCE Programme Office in Astana is seeking qualified candidates for internships lasting between 2 to 6 months in both administrative and programmatic areas. This internship offers a unique opportunity to learn about the OSCE's day-to-day operations and its mandate, while also developing professional skills and gaining practical experience in a multinational environment. Interns will have the chance to network with professionals and receive mentorship, enhancing their understanding of international security issues and the workings of a significant international organization. The internship is full-time, requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week, and the start dates will depend on the needs of the hiring offices. It is important to note that the cumulative duration of internships at the OSCE is limited to 6 months for any individual, after which further applications will not be considered.
Duties and Responsibilities: Interns will be involved in a variety of tasks including drafting research papers, policy reports, and other written materials such as briefing papers and presentations. They will assist in project management by preparing project proposals and budgets, compiling progress reports for donors, and conducting thematic research. Interns will also support communication-related events and outreach activities, including website updates and creating content for social media. Additionally, they will help organize events, meetings, and workshops, take minutes during OSCE decision-making meetings, and support daily operational work in administrative departments such as human resources and financial services. Interns will assist senior managers in preparing for trips and meetings by compiling background documents and managing logistics.
